Walking in the school hallway. "Bang" someone got slammed to the lockers. I turned around. I saw Liam leaning to the lockers while panting heavily and four boys around him. Nothing new, just the gangsters of the school bullying someone again. You may wonder why? Well, no reasons. Everyday, they just find someone randomly to bully and seems like today was Liam's turn. The bell rang and they left while laughing, leaving Liam with pain. I went to him; I helped him stand up and we headed to the medical room. I didn't have class, so I stayed with him. Suddenly I heard my name being called by my brother. "What happened?" he asked worriedly seeing his best friend in the medical room. "The gangsters" I replied. The emotions on his face weren't hard to read. He was sad and angry. We stayed with Liam the whole day and later we dropped him at his house.
We went home and the first thing we saw was our mother cooking. "Welcome home babies" yeah, she still calls us like that even though we are not babies anymore. We sat on the dining table and mom served us the dinner. Levi turned on the TV to watch news. The title caught my attention somehow. "21-year-old Leo Miller has been killed by a police officer". I looked at his picture. His skin was a bit brown like Levi. It was clear that he was from our neighborhood. Mostly black people live in this neighborhood. They didn't say why he got killed. Again, nothing new. People getting shot, killed, or arrested for absolutely no reason. But we all knew they were mostly the people who stand against the police or the government.
