part four: none of it was accidental

You and Yoongi kept in touch after he left for Korea, you were finished with the song that he featured on and it was supposed to be a surprise,but both fans caught on quickly. There was no secrets, but progressively as you both were talked about, the conversations between the both of you lessened wondering if the release of this song should happen. Nobody knew the name of the song so you thought maybe it's not too late to just not release it. It had been your dream to work with Yoongi, but this song started to form more and more sentimental value and you felt like letting your selfish feelings get in the way of the release of it.

You had been in long distance relationships before and you always thrived no matter what, but usually it was hard on your other partners, but this time around it's become hard on you, but possibly because you're relationship with yoongi isn't established which you never really ever cared for, but you began to think more about him than you thought you would. He was always apart of your world, but him not knowing you brought a lot more comfort than it did when he began to get to know you and spent the time he did with you while he was in LA.

You felt like you had made a mistake.

Falling in love with an idol. Falling for someone you know you love more than he could ever love you.

It was 24 hours before the official release and you were pacing in your LA apartment while your bestfriend sat in front of you on your couch comfortably moving her head side to side trying to focus on what's on the tv while you nervous paced. It had been 2 weeks since you both spoke to each other. You were starting to think something was up and overthinking many different things.

"Y/B/N do you think I should take a flight to Korea? Should I surprise him for the release of the song?" You stopped facing her and her eyes went wide in excitement. "as long as I'm coming ." She said as she placed her head in her palm smiling up at you with stars in her eyes. "You go everywhere I go, of course, but do you think that would be rude? I don't want to interrupt his schedule." You sat down next to her leaning your body back looking up to your high ceilings in your LA apartment.

"Why don't you text him and ask if that would be okay with him?" She said simply, but it was not that simple. "Ever since he left all he talks to me about are random trivial things and work and progressively we just don't talk, for the most part I feel like things have been strict between us, maybe he's drawing a line with me you know? Maybe I shouldn't."

"Do you not like the random conversations?"

"I love everything that's the problem." You said started to whine and kick your feet accidentally hitting the living room table that sat in front of your couches.

"Well you do know it's about that time to announce and upload the teaser for the song." Your bestfriend reminded you looking at the time on her phone. It was hours away.

"Should I text him that I want to postpone the release just so I can get some kind of reaction?" You asked covering your mouth in shock of your own sneaky idea.
"Y/N don't be toxic. drop the song and wait for his response after the release, he will reach out to you. The media is going to go insane you do know this right? He knows that when this song releases fans will be convinced you guys are a thing for sure, this is clearly what he wants because he's okay with that." Your bestfriend made an excellent point.

Till your phone rang. It was him.

"Hello?" You said into the phone nervously.

"Do you have a minute to talk?" Yoongi asked just as nervously, you could easily picture him rubbing the back of his neck probably pacing around like you once were. You looked at your bestfriend with wide eyes and mouthed "it's him!" And she mouthed back to you "stupid." shooting her back a mean look.
