A simple yet crucial piece,
A piece that is yet to be controlled,
A piece whos mind anythinh but their own.
A piece that is manipulated by power.

I was the pawn of your relationship,
I was there for times of gray skies,
I was there in times your hiding,
Times where you lit me up with gas.

I was a pawn of your many desires,
I was a pawn for you to only move,
When times were tough.
I was a pawn when I, never want you back.
