A huge, gloomy birdcage hangs in the center of the dungeon in the middle of the forest, and in its center lies a passed-out girl, lying there unconscious.
"Feeding time!," came a call out of nowhere, as a guy climbed up with a bucket full of rotten scraps and filthy juices and *SPLASH*, spilled it all over the girl's face.
"Wooahhh, who's there?!" said the girl, waking up to a defensive position, raising both of her fists and looking around. "Where am I?.." she asked, confused. Looking at her reflection through the rotten juices that are now spilled all over, she screamed "WHO AM I?" immediately -- the girl shouted a scream that drove all the birds away.
"The beast is awake! The beast is awakeee!!!!" called the guy out loud as he ran away from the place in fear.
"What is this place, hello? Is anyone there? I don't belong in here? Get mee outttt offf hereeee!!!!" "Arghhh!!!" she sighed in frustration.
But it seemed like no one was there to hear what she had to say.
After a few moments of silence, three warriors came in out of nowhere, holding spears and wearing scary wooden-looking masks. The middle warrior began to speak, "Lower your tone, beast! Or I'll feed you to the crows!" The three joined her inside the birdcage, beating her up with the non-pointy sides of their spears.
The girl gathered herself into a fetal position, protected her head with her hands and her legs were folded and close to the center of her stomach.
"Stop it, stop it, it hurts me," the girl whined, and a black mist began to envelop her slowly. "Stop!!!!," she roared, and with an explosive force that emanated from her, it sent them flying to hit the bars of the cage, and immediately the fighters ran away from the place, locking up the cage behind them.
"What was that?," she asked herself, testing her hands as the black mist started to fade back into her skin again. "That's so fucking cool!!!!" "I'll show them next time," she said, clenching her fingers into a determined fist. But a sudden screeching sound started bothering her. She collapsed on the floor in pain and shook non-stop, "Make it stop!!!!, Make it stoppp!!!!," she whined on the ground until she lost consciousness.
When she woke up again, she remembered nothing, as if her memories had been erased.
The same thing happened again, she asked herself who she is and where she is, with the same frustrated assumption.
This time, she decided to check if there were any marks on her body. She found a tattoo of a rose, a tattoo of a key, and a tattoo of a broken chain.
'Think! ... Think!! ...," she said, slapping her hands at her face in frustration.
"A key..? Let's start with the key. Is it like a key for this cage? Is it a key that I can pull out of my body like a spell? Am I maybe a powerful witch?"
"Wait a minute, I've probably tattooed those on purpose to remind myself that my memories have been locked away or something? It's the only thing that makes sense, am I right?"
"And now as for the broken chain.. what could it possibly be.. I think I should figure out what am I first, maybe a fairy? No, that can't be. My ears aren't that pointy, and I have no wings, maybe a vampire? Wait no it also doesn't make sense, the sunlight doesn't burn me. Hold on.. no way, I must be a demon!"
And then her mind started to make painful screeching sounds, "Gleynair!" That voice said, "Gleynair! Wake up!, Wake up!" and she lost consciousness again.
As she fully returned to her senses, and her sight stopped from blurring, she saw a tall man with golden fangs and pale skin.
"Blackthorn?!," she asked confused, feeling like she knows him from somewhere, "wait, do you know who am I?"
"Of course, I do! You silly one, you are my savior! My best friend, Gleynair!"
"What am I again? What is this place?"
"These ruthless humans locking up anything they see as a threat," said Blackthorn, "And as for who you are and what you are, I'm not sure yet, but a few months ago, you saved my life."
Gleynair's head started to spin again, and a lot of flashbacks hit all at once. Parts from the battlefield and balls of light scattered everywhere.
She finally understood who she was and where she came from, "Blackthorn, we must get out of here by night," said Gleynair, confident in her words.
"Yes, sensei!" answered Blackthorn, and his spirit finally lifted up when he realized she's fully back to her senses.
Twilight took root, and the two used their powers to forcefully break the cage's lock. They stepped one step out of the cage but didn't realize it was a bottomless pit. The two hugged each other mid-air screaming in fear, "AHHHHHHH," as they both fell together.
But then it seemed like they were both hovering mysteriously. As they opened their eyes together, Blackthorn noticed a black mist forming into a pair of wings that came out of her back.
His realization hit -- she's a demon, and a powerful one, but he said nothing about it.
Gleynair landed safely on a safe ground on one of the high trees. They both looked around; it seemed as if the humans had imprisoned creatures and individuals from other races.
"What the fluffling heck!," said Gleynair.

Where will the wings of destiny take both Gleynair and Blackthorn into?
All of that, we'll uncover in the next chapter of "Gleynair's Bizzar Tale".
