Argh, I don't want to go to classes even before school starts.

Mama woke me up at 9 and ordered me to get ready for class without even asking if I wanted to go. Typical mother behavior.

So now, I'm on my way there.

She told me that one of my school friends would be there, so I don't need to worry. But she didn't tell me who it is, and my introverted self is not ready to meet her just yet.

After 15 minutes of walking, I finally reached there. At last! I thought I would disappear into thin air walking such a distance in this blazing hot summer.

Don't judge me. When the vacation started, I was too lazy to work out. Thus, I have a weak body...

When I reached my destination, I directly went to sit down on the sofa in the corridor because the air-conditioning was on.

After a while, someone guided me to the classroom. When I entered, I stopped at the doorway to look around, hoping to find that 'friend' of mine.

Suddenly, someone called me from the front, "Lalisa, here." I looked at her, trying to remember who she was. To not be rude, I went to her and sat by her side. "Hey, do you remember me?" I did not, but I did not want to be rude and replied, "Maybe, but I don't remember. Would you mind introducing yourself, please?"

"Oh sure, why not! I'm Takahiro Yakimi. Nice to meet you. I hope we get along." She was so excited and cheerful that I could only smile at her and say, "I would love to. I know you know me, but please let me introduce myself too. Hello, I'm Lalisa Manobal. You can call me Lili or Lali or any other name you want to." I tried to be as polite as I can.

Takahiro Yakimi was too beautiful. Big brown eyes, a small nose, pink, plump lips, fair skin, and coffee-colored short, shoulder-length hair. Her physique was tall and a little chubby. She had rosy cheeks that I wanted to squish... and I let my intrusive thoughts win.

I squished her cheeks... Then I realized what I did and started to apologize to her. She was laughing at me, saying sorry to her like a madwoman. The teacher entered along with 3 more students and looked at me. I got embarrassed and sat back down on my seat, head hanging low...

That very moment, I knew we were going to be best friends.

Then class ended in two hours. We did not do much, just little basics. The whole time, Yakimi and I were laughing at silly things, kind of disturbing the class, but no one minded.

While going back home, Yakimi invited me to her house to have lunch. I wanted to decline, but remembered that I did not have anything to do back at home, so I thought, why not just go to her house, and I went with her after informing mama that I won't be home for lunch.

I came back home in the evening. Mama was not home; she had gone shopping with her friends and told me she would come back before dinner. So, I was alone at home for at least 3 hours or so.

The first thing I did after coming home was to call Yakimi, as she told me to give her a call when I reached home because she lived far from our house, and she was worried.

We talked for another half an hour and then hung up.

I had nothing to do, so I turned on the television to listen to some music and maybe dance.

After an hour or so, I was tired, so I watched some Kdrama.

The delicious, mouthwatering fragrance of food woke me up from my dreamland.

When did I sleep? I don't know. When I looked at the time, it was 7:30 in the evening. Dadda would be back in an hour or half, depending on his shift.

It was already dinner time, and we were at the table having our dinner.

While having dinner, Mom asked me about my day. I started to tell them about my time at Yakimi's house.

Her house was bigger than ours. They had one outdoor swimming pool, 6 bedrooms with attached bathrooms and washrooms. All of their first-floor bedrooms had sundecks with an amazing view of the Han River. A massive living room, kitchen, and lawn. They had 4 bedrooms on the first floor and two on the ground floor.

Her mother was a housewife like mine, and her father was the CEO of Takahiro Enterprises. They came from a Japanese background.

"Her father is the CEO of The Takahiro Enterprises?" My parents asked in unison. "Yup, he is," I said. They were both surprised because they had not expected it.

Yakimi's mother had prepared some classic Japanese food.

After lunch, Yakimi and I went to her room, which was filled with Anime, K-pop, K-drama, J-Pop, and other things.

It was massive.

She also had a walk-in closet with tons of jewelry, footwear, makeup — even though she did not need them — bags, and clothes. I was envious. Well, what did you expect from a CEO's daughter?

The whole time I was at her place, she did not once brag about her money and talked very nicely to me.

"You know what Yakimi, you should come to my place once. It's not as big as your house, but you'll definitely love it," I suggested.

Well, I told the truth. My house was in an apartment building. It wasn't as big as hers. We had only 2 bedrooms; my living room was as big as her bedroom, and my bedroom was a little smaller than her bathroom. My house was thrice smaller than hers, but it was good. At least I had a roof over my head and food to eat.

Overall, it was a well-spent day!

Both of my parents were happy because, at last, I had found a new friend.

Well, I don't think it was a bad idea to join tution.
