Hello, quick author's note! This chapter will contain a song, I'm sorry but I cannot post the song link (for some reason). Make sure to search it up online if you haven't already listened to it, it's called 'People I Don't Like' sung by UPSAHL. The original song does have swearing in it and for that sake, I am changing the lyrics a bit to make it more suitable for those who aren't comfortable with that sort of language. If you are not comfortable, I suggest you look up a clean version of the song on YouTube or Spotify. The parts that are sung will be written in this font, I suggest you play it then but it is absolutely your choice. If you wish, you might skip the song. I do not mean to mock the song artist/artists by any way and if the song is not to your liking please do keep it to yourself. If anyone would like to suggest any songs for future characters/scenes/parts, don't be afraid! Suggestions are welcome. Thank you and enjoy the chapter.

Agnes POV

Tonight was the night of 'The Ball of Induction'. Paxis REALLY needs to work on event names. Today's shift was boring, attending a few meetings here and there. Talking to all the 'Big Companies so that we could have more supporters. People are the same everywhere, talking about how rich and prestigious their company is whenever they get the chance. They raise heaps of money, millions, trillions, and 60% of it goes to the company, 20% goes to the reason for fundraising and the remaining 20% goes to the owner and their massive ego. None of the companies I met today had a reason for why they're so good or worth investing in, they just wanted money, titles and labels. While Tarella was with me the entire day, all the boys went to do their shift in taking care of the children they recently brought in and hadn't come back yet. Nora spent her whole day with the maids setting up and catering for tonight. Dropping my purse on my bed, I collapsed. My head turned to the photo of my family on the wall, I haven't seen them in a while. I got up and walked to my closet. Opening it up to all the options, I debated what to wear. I still can't believe Paxis has a daughter.

My mind floated around the topic when suddenly, Tarella came rushing in. "Help!" Was all she said, getting worried I rushed up to her, grabbing her by the shoulders. "What in the name of Ida happened?" I stared into her eyes as if I was staring into her soul. She's been my best friend since we were little, nothing could happen to her..... "What should I where? My closet is trash and I can't pick anything!" She panicked. Seriously!!?!??!?!??!?!?  Honestly, what was I expecting? Like I said, she's been my best friend since we were little, nothing could happen to her. She was a strong and capable women. Add overdramatic to the list. "You know you didn't need to come rushing in as if the world was caving in, right?" I asked, letting go of her and quirking a brow as I did so. I internally breathed a sigh of relief and a small, secret smile escaped as I did so. Even though she is extremely annoying, she is my best friend after all. I would never want anything to happen to her. "And you know that I'm extremely annoying, over dramatic and careless. Seriously though, help me pick an outfit." She looked at me biting her lips and looking at me with pleading eyes. "Fine, now take me to your closet." She nodded quickly, her braids, wrapped streaks and strands of hair whooshed past with her log hoop earrings dangling with every sway of movement just as usual.

Following behind, I made my way to Tarella's room. Surprisingly, her room is neat and tidy as always unlike her punctuality and personality.  Walking to the left side of Tarella's Murphy bed, she opened the door to reveal her closet. It was filled with an array of colours and styles. Tarella never really cared for how she looked yet she didn't want to look bad. She had a stylish side to her too, most people do. I opened my mind to the possibilities, taking out all possible options, I laid them out on the bed to display. After considering and imagining many varying dresses, my eyes landed on the perfect one. A dress with a asymmetric top (which had a strap on the left side and no strap on the right) and a high-neck illusion. The dress was midnight blue and long peasant styled sleeves came out from either side.  The sleeve on the side of the strap was midnight blue and the other side covered completely by the almost-see-through fabric was the same styled sleeve with the same fabric as the illusion. The skirt of the dress was long and reached all the way to the floor with slit coming down on the right side. "That looks formal. Amazing, but waaayyy to formal for me." She said looking at the dress. "It's  a ball, a formal event so you have to wear formal clothing. You wanted me to help so leave or take." I said looking at her. Like I said before, she had a stylish side, but her casual and careless side over looked that.
