Author Notes: I wanted to let everyone know this is my first-ever story. It might not be suitable as other stories. Hopefully, you like it.
I hate high school.
Everything sucks for me. I say this because I don't fit in anywhere at school. I'm a shy person and don't talk to anyone except my best friend. My best friend Mikayla, is always there when no one else is.
My parents really don't care what I do, and they are never really home. I like it that way, though.
It's Monday morning. My alarm always goes off at 6:00 am.
I rolled out of bed and cut off my alarm on my desk across the room. As I made my way to the shower, my phone went off. I waited until I finished my shower to look at my phone. As I check, I see that it is my best friend Mikayla who texted me. She was telling me she needed a ride to school today. When I got to Mikayla's house, she stood outside waiting for me. "Good morning," she said to me as she sat inside the car. "Good morning," I replied. We sat in silence as I drove us to school. When we arrived at school we went to our locker as usual.
The first class of the day was art. I really love art, it was my favorite class this semester. As I get to art class, the teacher Mr. Woodberry said "Good morning, Eric. How was your weekend?" "It was good, and what about yours?" I asked. "It was good," Mr. Fox replied. As the bell rang to start the first period, Mr. Fox started talking about our next art project. "This project is going to be done in pairs. He would assign our partner the next day. When lunch came around, I was about tired in school already. Biology class was boring as usual. The things the teacher teaches come so easily to me. As I got my food the lunch line (pizza and fries). Went and sat in the back of the cafeteria at the back table. Later on, Mikayla join me soon. Guess what said Mikayla, What I said. There is supposed to be a new kid starting tomorrow. How fun is that? He might even be gay and y'all might hit it off.
Yes, don't judge me I'm gay and Mikayla is always trying to find someone for me. She claims that she is the best matchmaker ever. But truth told she have been able to find me, someone.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Tuesday is one of my favorite days of the week. As soon as I walk into art that morning, I saw him, the new kid. Oh my god, he is so fine, I thought. He had light-brown hair, and blue eyes, and he looked to be 6'0 feet tall. Of course, Mr. Fox made me his tour guide. On top of that, we had the same classes. His name is Jake. Mr. Fox made him sit beside me. Confused, I looked over at Mr. Fox and he gave me a wink.
I can tell me and him are going to have a talk later. I don't need two matchmakers. As class started, Mr. Fox was announcing our partners for our new art project. Just my luck, he paired me with Jake. I wonder if that wink had something to do with this project, not just the seating. For the project, we had to paint each other in two emotions: happy and sad, and we had to paint our perception of friendship. "Your house or mine?" questioned Jake. I looked at him. While our eyes locked for what seemed to be eternity, I said "It doesn't matter to me. Why don't you choose?" "Okay then. Your house it is" said Jake with a smile. "See you at five," Jake added. I wrote down my address and gave it to him.
