Guess who has a new rarepair now because of a request on my request book, this bitch!
Anyway, preening time
Micro is an angel in this and uses he/they
____________

Latte watched as Micro, in his object form, tried to sneakily scratch at their wings for the fifth time since the show started.
They hadn't even gotten to the second episode yet.

Though Micro wouldn't explain why they were scratching, always denying doing it anytime he asked, he was still headset on finding the root of the problem.
Which was why he was searching up itchy wings on his phone instead of watching the show he had recommended.

Micro was none the wiser to his partner, shoving the popcorn they had popped into his mouth as he stared at the screen.

Latte had to search through multiple articles and websites to find the answer, obviously not being able to just search. "Why are my partner's angel wings itchy?". He had concluded that his partner was molting and that they weren't able to open up their pin feathers by themselves.
Though he wasn't completely sure he was right, he never had to deal with feathers. Hell, he didn't even know if angel wings could work like bird wings. No matter how much they looked like them.

He slowly shuffled closer to his partner, said partner, glancing at him and giving him a small smile before focusing back on the show. He always seemed to like watching anything the latte put on.

The latte slowly moved, grabbed the nearest wing he could, and carefully opened it.
Now the microphone was very confused, staring at their boyfriend as he looked over the back of their wing.

After dropping it and making sure Micro didn't wrap it back around themself and that they trusted him not to harm them, Latte began looking through their feathers to find the pin feathers they couldn't get to, making complete sure that he didn’t touch the ones that weren’t ready yet. Anytime he found one of the dusty looking pin feathers, he gently rubbed it in-between his fingers, making sure not to hurt his partner. Once he was sure he had opened it, he moved to search for the next one.
He was glad he was right but saddened that their feathers were bothering them.

The angel immediately relaxed once the latte got into the rhythm, leaning on the side that was faced away from their partner. Latte knew they weren't paying attention to the TV anymore. Even though he couldn’t see their face, he knew that they were fighting the urge to sleep. Their head was lolling towards the couch, snapping back up to resist the urge.

As Latte finished preening the inside of his partner's wing and was moving to look over the outside, he finally heard the deep rumbling coming from the angel. He couldn't help but chuckle as he got back to preening their wings.
Micro always denied that they could purr, trying to gaslight him into thinking he was hearing things anytime they did. But with how loud they were purring, mixed with the loud trills they let out randomly, they could no longer deny it. They could purr. And, they could purr loudly.

It still took Latte a while to get the right wing done, even though he only tried to work on the parts Micro couldn't reach. The whole wing seemed to be unkempt, as if he only slightly tried to preen himself but gave up halfway. Not that he could blame him, his back wings were pretty massive and he had multiple sets of them in his true form. It took him around an hour just to get one wing done.
Though a part of him wonders if Micro, that bastard, was just waiting for him to do it for him. He could assume it felt very soothing, just based on his purring. And it was less work for him.

It took Latte around an hour and a half to finally finish preening the other wing. Micro had fallen asleep less than fifteen minutes after he had finished the first one. The show's finale was just starting.

Latte looked at the passed out angel over before grabbing his phone.
He snapped a photo of his partner before very quickly choosing a random loud song and blasting it into Micro’s “ears”.

His partner jumped, wings puffed up and all eyes wide open as Latte laughed his ass off.

“YOU!” Mirco started as he floated back down, his mock angry expression present as his face wings were off it.  "You're an asshole, y'know that?"

Micro pouted as his boyfriend laughed at his expense. It was obvious he didn't truly believe that.

"Come on! You know it didn't hurt, just startled you" Latte responded in between giggles.
He grabbed his partner's face "Besides, would an asshole go through all that work preening your wings?"

Micro flushed, any mock anger completely fading away. "I… I suppose not"

Latte gave him a quick kiss on the forehead. "Exactly, now let's actually watch the show I put on"

Latte sat back onto the couch, Micro pulling him close with a wing.

“...thank you” He barely heard his partner whisper as he went back to the very start of the show

Latte paused as he looked over at Micro, who was busing himself by grabbing the bowl of popcorn. He was purposely hiding his face with his wings, the eyes on his wheels either glued to the TV or trying to look away from the latte.

The latte smiled as he reached up a bit to kiss one of the microphone’s face wings. “You don’t have to thank me hun. Just do me a favor, don't hog all the popcorn”

Latte’s smile grew even wider as Micro let out an embarrassed squeak, they were always a sucker for pet names.
Latte leaned against Mirco as he finally played the show. He knew that they would no longer be able to finish the show in one day like they planned, but it was worth it, as he saw how relaxed his partner was.
