It was an ordinary day in Oasis. The metropolis ruled by scientists. Peace, quiet, warm wind and palms blooming all around its streets. There were few minutes after noon and it looked like everything will be normal.
But it wasn't.
There were shots and explosions all around. Someone attacked Oasis. This jewel of desert where science ruled. Where great discoveries were achieved, sometimes even by cost of humans. The city protected by Helix Security International forces and selected task force of omnics. Who dared to attack this place? It was destined to exist peace and prosperity here.
And it started with explosion in city centre. Someone picked up a bomb under one of cars. Few minutes have passed and enemy troops flooded the entire city. Humans and omnics runaway from people wearing black uniforms marked with red elements, which also have got rifles. There was some kind of dark vibe coming out with them. Unnatural, like coming from shadow. Like they were creatures of darkness itself. They didn't shoot to unarmed however, yet they still took civilians as prisoners. Helix soldiers fought against them. And yet they took loses.
Then evil laugh came. Leader of attackers came. He just appeared at the battlefield in shadow's disguise. One of heavies, holding LMG in right hand, looking like half-human, half-omnic. Except black-red clothing like from ages of old he had under them black futuristic armor. Head was covered by powerful helmet, and some kind of visor was at his eyes, thus creating an image of a man with burning eyes of blood-red colour. At his back he has got something like wings of heavy cavalry rider.
- First Ascendant! - saluted to him one of soldiers hiding before barricade.
- Status report, captain! - he ordered.
- Hussar! Helix has got a heavy squad of flying troops! They are destroying us with those rocket launchers!
- BARRAGE! - screamed soldiers!
- Take cover! - ordered Hussar.
Explosions accompanied to rocket attacks at every moment. Many died by this, but it was nothing for Hussar, aka Tadeusz Ulam. His objective was clear - capture Minister of Genetics. Moira O'Deorain, his fallen apprentice. During his voyage he arrived home. Reunion wasn't one of those kindest, but he knew at least that his wife - Maria - lives and still remembered him. And their daughter, Katarzyna, has grown up for beautiful and wise woman. Yet he had a mission. To restore peace at the world and capture all God Programs. To destroy both the Talon and Overwatch, which were now a corrupted visions of what he wished to create. And his faction won't stop fighting until he will be victorious.
The Eclipse will never stop fighting!
- Give me a moment. - he pleased them.
He jumped through shadow teleportation. Eclipse, this was their name. The dark version of Iris, used by one of Hussars' companions. Nasrin Manuchehri, Iranian IT woman, one of few humans available to use not only the Iris, but also the Annihilation. Where there was life, there was death too.
- Surprise. - Hussar smiled.
Helix was shocked. One warrior unexpectedly attacked them from behind. Eclipse used that chance and charged at the enemy. First Ascendant attacked flying troops as quick as it was unexpected. And soon everyone were dead.
- An excellent job, First Ascendant.
- Follow me. - he answered to the captain without emotions.
They went forward through city under siege. Desolated streets, without any vehicles on anti-grav engines. They have become at least parts of barricades. Helix and selected squads of Vishkar waited for Eclipse soldiers. Ulam halted his dark warriors. Eclipse wasn't like Overwatch which wanted to achieve international peace as some kind of international police. He wasn't like Talon, which through black ops, scams and blackmails wanted to take over the world. It was revolution. Revolution of both humans and omnics, demanding freedom and equality. Demanding normal treatment. To abolish all social inequalities. And they were heralds of a new age. They were Coalition of Steel and Blood Revolution.
