Enzo's POV.

We reached the party, and we met by this random dude at the door. I waved slightly as he looked over at Jessica holding the bottle of vodka they have been pre-gaming the whole day.

''Woah, vodka? And it's your birthday? I'll meet you three in the bushes.'' He joked, letting out a scoff before stepping aside and letting us in. It seems she had already told everyone about my birthday, I mean, what was I expecting? We looked around, music blaring and people already making out.

''Jeez.'' I mutter, checking out the pristine house the host had. She was a pretty popular girl, so it should've been obvious she was the rich girl, but I don't make assumptions. Now, maybe I will. I was looking at the lights and laring music before suddenly being dragged into the middle of a big circle by the host. The girls followed suit and joined the huddle.

''It's Enzo's birthday!! Cheer for him on his 18th! Finally you can legally drink and stuff, right? You better chug!'' The crowd went wild, before she handed me a bottle of God knows what. I looked at Max and Jess nervously, before everyone started chanting 'chug.' I obliged, and downed the drink. They cheered for me loudly. Not gonna lie, I felt popular and...honestly very confident. Only downside is whatever I chugged is burning.

''WOOO! You can really chug Enzo! Who would've knew?'' The host joked, before patting me on the back and turning up the music. The circle closed in, and everyone started dancing. I laughed and danced with Jess and Max, drinking all night. I don't even know how long passed, but it started to get blurry, and they realized. They brought me outside and we sat down on the fancy couches.

''You're really drunk, Enzo! How's it feel? Oh my baby is growing up!'' Jess cooed, before slyly grinning. She passed water to me and I drank it, trying to sober up a bit. I drunkenly giggled, before eating a bit of the food left out. Could not tell you what it was, but by God it was the best thing I've ever had. Talk about drunk food.

''I should go home, really.'' I said, before getting up and stumbling. I think I've had enough if this, I mean, drinking was fun, but the side affects weren't.

''You cannot walk home like that, Enzo.'' Max said, as I rolled my eyes at her. I'll be fine, right? I shrugged her off.

''I'll take the city path.''

----------------------------------

I was about to head out, before the host pulled me into the kitchen, passing me a slice of ham with a candle on it.

''b..blow it ou-out Enzo...wooo-''
She could barely keep her eyes open, and I laughed. I was the same before drinking water. I laughed, before blowing it out.

Oh god.

I shouldn't have. I shouldn't have put that candle out. It felt like I sobered up instantly. I couldn't breath. It felt like this feeling of being pulled, but not able to breath, but I couldn't move, it felt like everything was lasting for an eternity. I zoned back in, taking deep breaths, wide eyed, returning to my drunk state.

''You gonna puke?'' She giggled. I swayed as I tried to keep steady, but this pain in my head...this feeling wouldn't go away.

''Oh yeah.'' I ran out, before puking in the bushes. God, why did it feel like that? I was being pulled. It was so strong, like super strong. Stronger than those...mini pulls earlier throughout the day. I coughed, before Maxine passed me some tissues. I nodded, not able to talk. I wiped my mouth and sat on the grass.
