Hope Mikaelson had always looked up to her aunt Rebekah. She admired her strength, her beauty, and her fierce loyalty to her family. So when Rebekah showed up at the Salvatore School one day, Hope couldn't help but feel a little starstruck.
"Hi, Aunt Rebekah," Hope said, trying to play it cool.
"Hello, darling," Rebekah said, giving Hope a warm hug. "How's school been treating you?"
"It's been good," Hope said. "But I miss you and the rest of the family."
"I know, sweetie," Rebekah said. "I miss you too. That's why I'm here."
Hope's eyes widened. "What do you mean?"
"I've come to take you home," Rebekah said with a smile. "Your father and I have been talking, and we both agree that it's time for you to come back to New Orleans."
Hope's heart sank. She loved her family, but she had finally found a place where she felt like she belonged. She had friends, a purpose, and a chance to make a real difference in the world.
"I don't want to leave," Hope said, her voice trembling.
"I know it's hard, darling," Rebekah said. "But sometimes, we have to make tough choices for the people we love."
Hope thought about it for a moment, and then she made her decision. "I'll come back," she said. "But only if you promise to visit me here."
Rebekah smiled. "Of course, darling. I'll visit you as often as I can."
Hope hugged her aunt tightly, knowing that even though she was leaving, she would always have Rebekah's love and support.
