You observed the creature for a moment, before it suddenly states at you.
"Ohhh...a new neighour!" He said, still staring into your soul.
"Dont change subjects! You better pay for those apples you ate without permission!" Howdy, clearly over it, said right back at him.
"Hehe...wally doesn't have any money.." He chuckled off, hoping howdy would let him get away with it. Once again.
"Why am i not surprised.." Howdy sighed, "I'm serious, if you don't pay you'll never be able to come here ever again." He said, even more annoyed from earlier.
"Hey woah woah no need to worry..uh..howdy, I'll pay for them!" You proposed, offering a couple of bills of money for the apples.
Howdy stared at you for a moment, unsure if you were serious or not then looked at the money, then back at you.
"Fine,you were lucky this time Wally that our new resident payed." He said, putting down Wally and taking the money, walking away to order more apples.
"Oh woah that was quite generous of you! I'm surprised you actually gave off money just like that!" Julie said as she chuckled. It seems like Julie was looking from the back the drama happen instead of actually helping.
You smiled, glad that you've made a good impression of yourself as you walked out with julie.
Suddenly you felt tug onto your (shirt/dress), looking down you see Wally. You crouched down to get to his level, he was quite small.
"Thank you I wouldn't had gotten away without your help!" Wally smiled at you, really grateful of your act.
"Oh that's no troubles, really! But you should probably start actually buying instead of stealing." Y/n then said, suggestively.
"I'll see about that..." He responded, it was sure he wasn't really going to.
"Hey y/n! Come on you have to meet Sally!!" Julie exclaimed from afar.
"Well, I'll see you around Wally!" You said, standing back up and catching up julie, waving back at him. He waved back before walking away also.
Wally grined to himself..
"..Silly silly.."
"..I will see you soon enough neighbour.."
