Chap. 3 - An Odd Encounter..

"Holy crap! Is this place his crowded?"

Doni looked around the room as the smell of cooked lunches filled it.

Bionic shrugged and tried to find an empty table. Doni, speechless, followed Bionic.

"Y'know, you'll get used to it. I was also shocked by the amount of emo teens and goth kids."

Bionic and Doni sat down from opposite sides and ate their lunches. Doni put down his ice pack and continued eating. But when Doni was about to take another bite of his sandwich, a familiar voice came closer and closer.

"Hey, you!"

Doni put down his sandwich and turned. Everyone in the cafeteria quieted down and started whispering.

"Ugh, what do you want now?"

Bionic stood up and looked at the same blue pair of eyes Doni has seen in the hallway before he passed out.

"Look, I'm not talking to you right now."

He shoved Bionic to the side and walked up to Doni. The cafeteria could tell that something disastrous was about to happen.

Lynix POV - A few hours before it all. .

It was about 8:32. Classes were about to start. Lynix opened up his locker. To his surprise, About 20 love letters fell out of his locker.

"What the fu- you know what, nevermind."

Lynix shoved the love letters out of his way and snatched his math binder. When he turned around, a group of girls were giggling around the corner. Lynix sighed and walked away while the girls ran off.

Jesus Christ.

Lynix thought.

In class. .

Lynix took a seat in his desk. He grabbed his math notebook and waited for class to start. But like everyone else, he got bored easily. So, her decided to eavesdrop into other people's conversations like a spy.

Hey, did you hear about the new kid? He has an owl mask or something.. weird right?

Yo, this Doni kid seems.. odd

The new kid is weird. Don't talk to him.. I heard he takes people's lunch money!

Lynix overheard the conversations. He still wondered why people kept talking about "the new kid".
He seemed invested in the gossip. Too invested.

"I gotta find out who this new owl kid is..."

Lynix scoots over to his desk neighbour and whispers,

"Y-yo who's this new kid everyone's talking about..? He sounds feisty.."

The student (I'll call him Emen) turned to Lynix and put down his phone.

"Dude, you don't know about the new kid? That's crazy!"

Emen whispered back.

"Look, if you wanna know something about him, he's not the type of guy to mess with! I heard he-"

"Yeah, yeah. I know about the rumours! Just tell me who this guy is. Besides, he can't beat me! I'm the most popular and handsome."

Emen gave Lynix the annoyed look, like he did something wrong.

"Okay, will you let me continue?"

Lynix nodded, But it all was disrupted by the bell.

"Y'know what, talk to me later."

They both went back to mind their business, but something didn't sit right with Lynix. Whoever this Doni guy was, he sounded like a threat.

Lynix was about to take a sip from his water bottle due to the room being so dry. He grabbed the air and realized that his only source of clean water was in his locker.

"Damn it! I forgot my water bottle."

Lynix raised his hand. He didn't like raising his hand because to him, it showed a sign of weakness. (If ykyk)

"Yes, Austin?"

Mr. V asked. The class surprisingly didn't mind and continue writing notes on the board.

"Can I go grab my water bottle sir?"

Mr. V sighed and would normally scold him about not to forget your things but this time was different.

"Grab it quickly or you're going to miss your notes."

Lynix stood up and ran out the door. He heard Mr. V yell at him to slow down but he didn't really care.

He ran and turned the corner, where the trophy display was. But at the corner of his eye, a guy with a black hoodie and dark skin and hair was passed out on the floor.

"What the hell?"

Lynix saw all the scattered notebooks on the floor. While he was looking around, he noticed a bruise on his forehead and.. an owl mask..?

"Shit. I need to get back to class.. but I can't leave him here alone. He's literally passed out!"

He panicked as he tried to come up with a solution.. until it hit him.

Lynix tried to pick up Doni from the ground and lift him up into his arms.

"Fucking god he's heavy!"

Lynix used all his might to carry him as fast as he could.

He swooped Doni up and ran towards the nurses office. But just before he made it to the door, standing right in front him was the face of a really pissed off looking cyborg.

"Put. Him. Down."

Bionic demanded as Lynix aggressively shoved Bionic out of the way and ran off to the nurses room.

"Hey! What are you doing with my pal?"

Bionic cracked his fists, demanding for an answer.

"Look, this guy in the hallway was passed out. I had to bring him here!"

Lynix tried to explain what happened to Doni but Bionic couldn't stand him.

"I don't believe you. What if you hurt him?"

Bionic started to walk closer to Lynix.

"Why do you think I would bring him here? Use some fricking common sense."

Bionic sighed and decided to calm down. As much as he hated Lynix from the start, he decided to trust him for this one.

"Fine. I trust you.. you better not break that."

Bionic murmured.

Lynix walked into the office and asked the nurse to take care of him while he was in class.

"I'll be sure to take care of him. Thank you sweetie!"

The nurse sat down in her office chair while
Lynix put down Doni in one of the medical beds.
Lynix didn't know who this guy was but he did feel something when he carried him in his arms.. like butterflies in his stomach.
His thoughts had led him passed Bionic sitting in a waiting chair.

"Don't you dare tell him I carried him here.. and PLEASE don't make it weird!"

Lynix begged. Bionic rolled his eyes and nodded as Lynix made his way out of the room.

Bionic watched over Doni, even if he had to miss class. He cared for his best buddy more than his stupid classes anyways.
