It was a stormy night. Four cats took shelter at the entrance of an ancient structure by a creature lost to time. They were making their way to a flatten brown box that had moss growing on top.

The first cat was a calico. Her pelt appeared similar to a relative of the feline family: The tiger. Her eyes were yellow with a slight hint of green to it. Her body was the smallest in the group of cats. Her name was Kiki.

The second cat was a Russian white. His pelt was solid white and his eyes were bright yellow. He was the second smallest of the cats. His name was Ghost.

The third was a black American shorthair. His eyes were an amber color. This cat's name was Shadow.

The fourth and final cat was a maine coon. Her pelt was a silvery tabby. She had eyes the same color as the ocean. She was the largest of the group. Her name was Mews.

There, in the sheltered space from the rain, the cats drowsed happily until the sun began to rise, some of them softly snoring.
