Hope Doesn't Hold Back

Hope and Penelope have been traveling together for a couple months now. They have gotten really close in that short amount of time and have come to really care about each other. They are both surprised at how open they are with each other in such a short amount of time. Hope has been telling her stories about her family and dad, letting her hear the side of her father that no one else gets to hear about. Penelope tells Hope about how her parents sent her off to boarding school because she likes girls. Then she had to stop Hope from going to kill her parents even though she was shocked that Hope cared that much about her to get that reaction from her.

Penelope has been helping Hope come up with some more prank spells she can use on her uncle Kol. Penelope was also shocked at how genius it was to make it so only a witch with the wolf gene can perform the spell. Nik has also been helping them with the spells and telling them all about the pranks he's been pulling on Kol. Nik was also excited to meet a Penelope since he has never net any of Hope's friends before. That got Hope some teasing from Penelope about how special she must be for her to be the first person Hope has let me any member of her family. Hope took the teasing in stride and just rolled her eyes but didn't respond because she knew that Penelope meant more to her than she knew.

After these couple of months Hope has decided she trusts Penelope enough to tell her something that only family knows. Hope looks over at Penelope "Pen there are a couple things I left out when telling you about Alaric's death." Hope says nervous as to how she will react to Hope kind of lying by omitting parts of the story.

Penelope raises an eyebrow in question "And what would that be Hope?"

"I didn't mention it because me and my family are trying to let as little people know as possible. But uncle Kol didn't kill Alaric before he managed to stake me. I mean he only managed to stake me because I let him since I knew it wouldn't kill me but after that is when uncle Kol killed him." Hope says playing with her fingers nervously.

Penelope's eyes widen in shock "What he actually killed you in his mind, like he actually went through with it he just had the wrong weapon? Idiot, also I completely understand you wanting to keep that information close and let people assume that white oak is what kills you." Penelope says sincerely.

Hope lets out a sigh of relief "We also figured out what can kill me is the wood of a red oak tree that my family already burned down and kept one stake of it to make sure nature doesn't create another one."

Pen nods in understanding "Makes sense and obviously I won't tell anyone this information."

"Thank you! I also figured out a spell for a vampire to keep or get back their magic and I gave my uncle Kol his magic back." Hope says while smirking when she sees Pen's face.

Pen's eyes widen in shock and her jaw drops. She opens and closes her mouth a couple of times before she is able to speak. "Damn Hope you are a magical genius, what the fuck."

Hope's smirk deepens "I know but if anyone finds out I will just tell them that the spell can only be performed by me and on someone blood related. Just so a bunch of witches don't decide to turn and assume I will give them their magic back." Hope says while rolling her eyes.

"Ya definitely don't want a bunch of heretics running around." Pen says in understanding. "So I have been wanting to ask this for a while but it might be a touchy subject." Pen says leadingly. Hope nods to continue a little more tense now. "So we are looking for a way to bring your dad back but what about you mom. I know how much you love her and miss her why haven't you said anything about bringing her back?" Pen asks softly knowing this is a hard subject for her.

Hope tenses and is silent for a bit before sighing "I haven't mentioned it because I could already bring her back right now." Hope says.

Pen frowns in confusion "Then why haven't you?" She asks curiously.
