The Orphans (Short Story)

In a Dusty and Fragile Wooden Shack near garbage cans in a very Far away village with no electricity, no food, and no drinks lived poor homeless Orphans. The orphans names is Jane (15), Mary (13), Lincoln (13), Eddie (12), and Heidi (5). Their first meeting was in the Shack. The village was a happy and beautiful place until a shooting happened in the Village. The Houses were ruined, The Villagers, and some kids in the village died.

24 December 1988, Christmas Eve. 5 minutes before the shooting

"MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE EVERYBODY" said the whole village in joy, The Villagers ate together.

The start of the chaos.

A gunshot was heard a man with hoodies then showed up. The Villagers runner for their life screaming in chaos. "RUNNN" "AAAAA" "PLEASE DON'T SHOOT ME"

There is only 5 people who hasn't died who is Jane,Mary,Lincoln,Eddie, and Heidi. They all lived in the shack since that day.

One day, It was a usual routine in the shack, playing around, talking with each other, making up. Stories until dawn. Dawn has come, Heidi became sick all of a sudden. It gets worse a man with the same hoodie from the shooting case. But, he didn't hold a gun. He held a Knife covered in blood. The Blood was dripping. He licks the blood. He came in the shack, he saw the children sitting in fear he pulls his name "You 4 GET OUT!". They nodded and goes out. He looks at Heidi he pulls his knife then stabs her right in the chest when she was sleeping. Heidi screamed in pain "AAAA". The man runs and disappeared.

The 4 panicked they didn't knot what to do. They carried Heidi and they walk for 16km to the city and it was raining. They saw a Hospital. They ran to the Hospital and searched for a doctor. It was very crowded. They were trying to find the counter. But, when they were going to approach the counter, one of the nurses saw them. She ran to them "Kids, who are you carrying?." The nurse asked. Jane said crying "Help, please. We're orphans one of our friends just got murdered we don't have parents or any other family we lost all of our friends and we live in a shack in a village about 16Km away"

The nurse was shocked. The nurse said "Okay, umm let's go to the emergency room, put her in this bed". The putted Heidi on the hospital bed and they ran to the Emergency room. The Doctor checked Heidi's condition and they were worried about Heidi when Heidi was being Examined. The Doctor came out and said "I'm sorry but unfortunately Heidi has died". The 4 saw Heidi's body and holds the body. Heidi's Body was pale and cold.

Then They saw a letter in Heidi's Pocket they opened it a letter was inside it was written with blood the letter said:

If 1 is dead, Jane is next.

Jane was frightened. The nurse also saw the letter and the nurse called 911 and asked the kids "Kids, can i borrow the letter for a minute?my name is also Heidi by the way". They handed the letter to the nurse and Heidi said "Thank you",

911 answered "Hello this is 911, my name is miles how can I help you?" Heidi said "Umm, do you know some active murderers by any chance, some kids from a far village who doesn't have parents showed up with 1 dead kid and they said it was murder and they also have a letter written with blood."

Miles said "Um, can i talk to the kids?". Heidi said "certainly". Heidi came running back to the kids but when she arrived the kids weren't there except Jane. Jane was covered in blood, Heidi saw the 3 Kids Hiding under the Table. Heidi then saw a bullet on Jane's head. Heidi said to the 911 "Um, I think the murderer's here"

All the patients and people in the Hospital were screaming. The 3 Kids were shivering in fear. They were to afraid to come out from the table. Miles asked "Where is the hospital located in?". Heidi said fast and panicking "Umm Yore's 7034 street,Alvania". Miles said "Don't panic, we already sent the police to your location, don't hang up the phone".

Heidi said screaming "HOW CAN I NOT PANIC MANY PATIENTS AND OTHER PEOPLE INCLUDING THE DOCTORS ARE DYIN-". Heidi suddenly got shot. Eddie grabs the phone and hid back to the table. Eddie whispered "H-hello". Miles said "Hey, kid what's your name?". Eddie said trying to be very quite "E-Eddie"

Police arrived they saw the kids under the table. Some of the Police captured the murderer's. The murderer's saw the kids "If i go out or if i ever will be released i will kill all 3 of you" said the Murderer. Well,now the 3 kids are already successful. Mary became a nurse, Lincoln became an Author, and Eddie became a famous Musician.

But they're story isn't finished until here. There are still other murderer's that are targeting for them to be the next victim of their murder besides why are. There so many people that wanted to kill them? What is the reason?

The reason is because they just want to kill all village kids that became successful. But, when they were kids, The reason was unknown even they don't know why are the murderer's trying to kill villagers and even the village kids. They live in the city now together in a mansion, but they still have their inner village kids or villagers.
