POV: Quackity

I open my laptop, and start to read. It was three in the morning. I had woken up and couldn't go back to sleep. My cat curled up next to me.

Seconds turn into minutes, minutes turn in to hours.

Book after book, after book, I read.

It was six thirty now. I looked out my window, it used to be dark out, but now I could see the sun peaking over the horizon begging to show the world its light.  I could taste a terrible residue in my mouth. I finally decided to go to sleep, after two hours of read. If I could go back to sleep.

As I put on some music, put my laptop away, and crawled back into bed the comforting sheets rapping around me, I couldn't help but be a bit jealous at the fictional characters in the books I read.

why can't I have something like that?

Then as I closed my eyes, I imagined beaning with someone. I imagined this someone, playing with my hair as we watch a movie, I imagined this someone going one walks with me, hugging me, calling me stupid pet named that made me flustered every time I heard one, singing and playing guitar together,  wearing their baggy clothes, but most of all, kissing. my mind raced thinking of everything I wanted to be with someone. Slowly I fell into slumber. Wishing that someone would hold me.

~Morning~

"Querido levántate! vas a llegar tarde!/Dear get up! your going to be late!" I Heard my mother yell from the stairs.
"¡Si mamá! ¡Estoy levantado! estar allí en un rato!/Yes mom! I'm up! be down there in a bit!" I yell back groggily as i get out of bed. I realized I got out of bed to fast and my head gets dizzy. after a bits my head doesn't hurt as much I grab, some black jeans, my blue hoodie, some socks, my iconic beanie, and my black converse that I doodled little ducks on.
"¡Mamá! ¿Crees que tengo suficiente tiempo para una ducha rápida?/Mother! Do you think I have enough time for a quick shower?"
"Sí, pero sé rápida!/yes, but be quick!"
iI took a really quick shower, got dressed, grabbed my backpack and ran downstairs. My mom handed me a piece of toast, with strawberry jelly on it.
"¡gracias mamá!/Thank you mom!" I respond, kissing her on the cheek.
"¡que tenga un buen día!/have a good day!"
I wave her goodbye and dash out the door, eating my toast. As soon as I get to the bus stop, I'm relieved that I didn't miss the bus, that I was in fact a little early.
As I take my phone and air-pods out I see a tall brunette with a rouge streak of white, he had a guitar strapped on his back. He was wearing a white dress shirt, a brown cardigan, a light blue scarf, black ripped jeans, and combat boots, he was also wearing round glasses. I hadn't realized that i was staring until the boy spoke.

"Uh, Hello?" he said looking at me with a curious smile. Shivers went down my spine as he spoke, his accent was hot.

"Oh sorry, i was staring wasn't I?" I said mainly to myself

"Yeah you were,"

"Apologizes I've just never seen you here before" I say with a smile

"Oh, well I'm new, the names Wilbur!" he says smiling, putting his hand out.

"I'm Quackity!" I say taking and shaking his hand. His hand was warm, and his palm was soft, while his fingers were covered in calluses due to playing guitar. As our hands parted i thought.

I wonder what his hand would feel like on my face- NO- Quackity what the hell are you thinking?!

My thoughts were interrupted by white headlights and the sound of a roaring engine.

"Hey, Wilbur, what is your seat number?" I ask tilting my head in curiosity.

"umm 31 i think?" He responds

"Mine is 30! we sit right next to each other! our seats are in the back." I Explain.

"Cool!" he smiles, his smile melts my heart, and i feel butterflies in my stomach.

The bus stops right in front of us, the bus driver looks like she is a walking corpse, like if she layed down she would finally be at peace. Me and Wilbur get on the bus, since we are the first stop we are the only people there. we walk to our shared seat and i put my air pods in, leaning on the window.

"Hey Wilbur, Can you wake me up when we get there?" I ask lifting my head up a bit to look at him.

"sure!" he says smiling.

I smile in return and go back to the window, shuffling my playlist. the first song pops up, Jubilee Line. The soft guitar strings start playing, at the same time i start humming the tune. then softly start singing the words. i was amazed by how beautiful both the guitar and the voice was.

Before i knew it, the next song started to play, by the same person, this song being, I'm in Love With a E-girl. I did the same as i did with the Jubilee Line, humming and softly singing along to the words. When the song ended i started drifting of to a light sleep, hearing the angelic voice singing, to what felt like, to me.

POV: Wilbur

"Hey Wilbur, can you wake me up when we get there?" My new friend Quackity asks.

"sure!" i say smiling

He smiles back at me. his smile was so warm and, genuine.

I the book i was reading out of my pocket. i was about to start reading, but then i heard Quackity humming. it was mesmerizing.

Wait- he's humming Jubilee Line. That's my song!

I smile. He starts softly singing it. " Wasting your time, You're wasting mine, I hate to see you leaving, A fate worse than dying" I start singing back softly. i felt my face heat up, and butterflies in my stomach.  Without him knowing, i stare at him, amazed that he likes my song. the only people I've heard sing or hum my songs is my little brother, and very rarely my dad. I sing the song back to him.

The song ends but then he starts humming, I Fell in Love With a E-girl. I sing my parts of the song softly to him as he sings them to. in that moment all i felt was happiness. it felt like it was just me and him. No corpse driving the bus, no kids that got on the bus at each stop. i felt like just me and this black-haired boy, wearing a beanie singing softly.

I was falling hard.
