It was all just a stupid troll. A stupid troll about him 'getting a girlfriend.'
Why was his boyfriend taking it so seriously?
"Dude chill out!" Zak laughs. He covers his smiles and chuckles with the palm of his hand. Darryl wasn't trying to let it out all now; if he wanted to, he could barge into the room next door and yell at his boyfriend Zak to end the stream. But Darryl always has to keep his internet persona, you know. The kind, oblivious, doesn't swear, always happy act that he always has to display for the enjoyment of strangers online.
Darryl tried his best to hint it to him. "Skeppy stop." and he also used his real name, "Zak this isn't funny." But the brunette knew damn well that his boyfriend doesn't have the brain cells to actually process what Darryl isn't trying to say.
Darryl hovers the 'LEAVE CALL' button as he bites his lip. He's contemplating on whether to click it or not. He scans the words 'LEAVE CALL' over and over again.
All he can hear is that whiny voice of Zak teasing him in the background. He can hear the sound of Zak typing on his keyboard. Giggling away as he pretends to text his 'girlfriend' that he met on tinder earlier today.
Their fan base obviously doesn't know what's going on with the two of them. They have to keep it a secret. Well - according to Zak. If the news came out the two would be under extreme amounts of pressure. "The negativity would be too much." Zak says. And Darryl agrees, but at this point, even when they've been dating for the past 2 years. He can barley hold it in any longer. Whenever it came to lying, Darryl was the worst at it. Especially when you're lying to hundreds and thousands of people around the globe.
The brunette shuts his eyes tightly and presses the button. He then hears Zak's voice get cut off, just for the brunettes headphones to turn absolutely silent.
On the other hand, Zak is left alone - not knowing why Darryl would leave. "Guys, I've gotta go, gotta check on Bad right now." Zak speaks to his stream. The chat is flooded with different responses. "Bye." Zak mumbles quickly, before ending the stream.
Zak sits up and takes off his headphones. The screen of the pc the only source of light in the room. The pc screen dims slightly from being neglected for a few seconds. Zak walks out his office and makes his way to him and Darryl's shared bedroom.
The door is shut and the hallway is quiet. Zak knocks on the door 3 times. "Babe?"
No response.
4 more knocks
"Darryl?"
2 more knocks.
Zak sighs when he hears the sweet familiar caramel voice again.
"Leave me alone Zak." A muffled voice comes from the other side of the door
"Darryl. It was all just a joke." Zak clicks the door open, he opens his halfway to peak in. His boyfriend is wrapped in a burrito position and is facing the side away from the door.
"No it wasn't. I hinted to you so many times to stop and you didn't get the fucking memo." Darryl speaks, his tone getting louder on the cuss word.
The brown eyed male eyes scans the other ones body language as he taps his foot on the doorway. He doesn't know what to say.
"Forget it." Darryl huffs and wipes his tears with the back of his hand, "I'm going to the pub with Alex." He stands up, letting the blanket fall to his ankles.
"Quackity? Seriously?" Zak responds. Darryl grabs a black puffed jacket on his bedside table and puts it on. He grabs the house keys and walks out of the bedroom door, his shoulder brushing against Zaks.
Zak looks at Darryl as he walks away, "You don't have to act fucking sensitive all the time. It was obviously a joke." He yells. Darryl doesn't look at him, he instead throws a middle finger at him.
The density of the house feels empty. It's cold and Zak has a feeling brewing in the pit of his stomach, the one that he can't really tell what it is.
