Sparkling black tiles, walls made of marble, gold accents shimmering underneath the lights from the large chandelier, and leafy plants in every corner. The building was stunning. It was towering, large and demanding. In other words, it was the furthest thing from what Phayu's architect firm was used to doing.
It had been a favour for a family friend. Seeing it as a challenge and a way to test his own skill, Phayu happily took the contract. It took a long time, but it was more than worth it. Phayu praised his team, amazed by what they were able to accomplish. The only problem with it, was now that it was finished, said family friend wanted to throw a party.
He demanded that Phayu, and anyone from his firm that worked on the project, attend. It was going to be a celebration. A celebration for Bangkok's newest, and finest, hotel. Despite what many would be led to believe, Phayu was not thrilled about having to go. He wasn't the biggest fan of large gatherings that he didn't have any control of. He was however able to convince the family friend to bring more than just a plus one.
Now if only he could convince his plus one to go.

"Rain please, I don't want to go either but it's only for a couple of hours. Plus he gave me the honeymoon suite for the night. Just think of it as a chance for free food, and a short vacation." Phayu said, watching as his lover crossed his arms and puffed out his cheeks into a pout.
Rain had been sitting on Phayu's bed, listing off all of the reasons he didn't want to go, and refusing to listen. The older man groaned, rolling his eyes. He walked over, kneeling in front of Rain on both knees. He placed his hands on Rain's knees, looking up at him. Rain turned his head to the side, refusing to look at Phayu. If the stupid party was so important why couldn't he just go alone? Why did he have to go too?
"Food won't work on me, Phayu. I'm not Sky." Rain mumbled. Phayu sighed, leaning his head down in Rain's lap.
"Prapai probably didn't have to beg Sky like this to get him to go." Phayu mumbled. Rain's body stiffened. He finally turned his head to look down at his boyfriend. He wasn't sure what he was more upset about at this point. The fact that once again Phayu was comparing Rain to his best friend, or the fact that Sky was going, and was choosing this as the way to tell Rain?
"Sky's going?" Rain asked. Phayu lifted his head and nodded.
"Prapai is going, of course Sky will be there." Phayu said. There it was again. Rain follows Phayu around like a lost puppy all the time. Now the one time he's not, Phayu is acting like he's being difficult. Suddenly Sky is the better boyfriend because one time he didn't fight Prapai to do something. Well, now he had to go.
"Fine, I'll go. But I'm not happy about it." Rain said with a huff. Phayu grinned, leaning up to give Rain a chaste kiss.
"Thank you darling." Phayu whispered. He brought his hand up, brushing his thumb along Rain's full bottom lip. "I promise we won't be down at the party for too long. I want to take full advantage of that honeymoon suite." he smirked. Rain rolled his eyes, standing up quickly.
"See if I let you." He grumbled, storming out of the bedroom. The older man couldn't hold back his laugh as he watched Rain hurry out.
"You're cute when you're mad!" He called after him.
"Shut up!"

Rain may have agreed to go, but he wasn't about to make this easy for Phayu. Where would the fun be in that?
"Rain, you can't go in that." Phayu said with a sigh. Rain had shown up to the house in his usual t-shirt and jeans. The younger man looked down at his own outfit, shrugging before looking up at his boyfriend.
