I rapidly banged on the glass wall, the carbon monoxide still draining into the room at a steady pace. "Ethel!" I screamed. "Aroha, Where are you?!" she screamed back "I'm at the end of the hallway turn around!" I could see her scarlet red hair glide behind her as she sprinted down the hallway with her sneakers squeaking on the ground. "Can you see me?!" I yelled, looking at her spinning in circles. "No!" Aroha screamed. "I'm right in front of you! I can see you!" I tried to yell this but I could feel my lungs being filled with gas. "Hey! Hey! Stay with me come on!" Aroha's words started to slur, a sign that she was crying. "Ethel, I'm bringing you home! I promised I would protect you! Please..." from the sound of her voice I could tell she was starting to break down but she had to get out of here before he came looking for her. "Go, get out of here!" I yelled through the pain, slowly running out of breath. "No, I'm not leaving you!" Aroha screamed. I fell to the ground suddenly but my legs were losing motion. I felt my lungs getting more and more filled with carbon monoxide. "No! Come on Ethel, I'm gonna get you home!'' These words sounded more like a ple than a command. My breathing got slower and my lungs were running out of room. "I love you! I'm sorry I couldn't keep my promise..." Aroha yelled. I could hear her footsteps getting quieter and quieter as she ran down the hall making her escape. "I love you too...".

It has been almost 3 months since Ethel died. They had dug up her body after I escaped so we're going to have a funeral in a few weeks. Mom and dad have been fighting a lot more because they think it's each others fault that they let their two daughters go to a party alone. Sometimes I wish they would just blame me so maybe I could have a chance to join Ethel but I knew that wasn't gonna happen. I laid down on my navy blue colored sheets and thought. Thought about what would have happened if we didn't go to that party, what would have happened if I had just stayed there and died with her, or what would have happened if I just kept my promise to protect my little sister.

Sorry this ones a little shorter because it's an old one but I'll make the next one longer if possible! -Robin
