Poppy muffled her sobs behind him.

Kazuko exhaled with an aggravated sigh, dropping his pen onto the table and slamming his elbows down, carding a frustrated hand through his hair. He let his hands trail from the back of his neck to stop below his nose, his fingers loosely intertwined and his knuckles grazing his lips, as he stared off in front of him. He couldn't write with this racket ringing in his ears.

In a singular swift motion, he rose from his seat and stormed towards the chair in the middle of the darkness, the girl from before still weeping and pathetically pulling at the restraints. He rolled his eyes and placed a leg on the corner of the chair, leaning down to snatch the tape from her mouth in one harsh pull. She winced before her loud panting danced its way to his ear-shot.

"I'm going to kill you" Kazuko began, "and you aren't going to make that hard for me."

Without allowing a second for her to process, he wrapped his strong hands around her neck and started to tighten them, gradually closing her airway. She began to writhe. Her legs kicked and flailed as her hands gripped the rough ropes that bound her wrists behind her, she tugged for freedom but it was only in vain as Kazuko released a frustrated grunt. The more she swayed, the louder the chair legs screeched across the floor, Kazuko's annoyance was becoming less tolerable. Each Scratch was another pin in his skin and a man can only take so much aggravation; maybe her struggle wasn't in vain after all.

He released her neck with a curse and allowed his foot to slam to the floor. The pathetic girl flinched before she erupted into a coughing-fit, her whole body convulsing as she attempted to lurch forwards but the restraints kept her in place, her throat was like sand paper. Kazuko's eyes ran along her form: her angry red neck (that was most definitely going to bruise), her dishevelled hair messed into her face and her wispy fringe stuck to her forehead with sweat, her knees pressed tightly together, and her body slouched into itself; she was making herself smaller.

Kazuko could've laughed at the sight. That was the part he loved, the desperate want for life makes them forget about their vanity. For just a moment, they become raw, they become real.

It was an ugly truth.

"I thought I told you not to make this difficult." His tone was laced in venom, spitting gasoline with every word, and her response simply lit the match.

"Fuck you!" She spat, her saliva landing on his shoes. His favourite shoes.

His eye twitched and his slight smirk vanished completely. Poppy's face dropped...and then came the writhing. She panicked as Kazuko turned on his heel and stormed out of the room, leaving her in the dark. Though, the questions that rambled in her head were silenced when he returned with a kitchen knife in his hand. Her movements became more rushed, more chaotic. Her legs thrashed around in front of her, absentmindedly pushing herself back into the wall behind her, as she tried desperately to get as far away from him as possible (as if she could ever get so far).

"Hm, not telling me to fuck myself now, are you?" He almost cackled, swinging the blade between his fingers to taunt her just that little bit more.

"No, no! Please, I will do anything!" Poppy rushed out, her words spewing from her mouth without a single thought behind them, as she shoved the chair flush against the back wall.

Kazuko slammed his foot down onto her thigh and yanked her hair back, his free hand holding the knife to her bruised throat, "Anything?" He asked with a smirk.

"YES! Yes, anything!" She exclaimed, the high pitch of her voice piercing his ears, nearly drawing blood.

"Hm," He scoffed, "Drop Luna."

Her face twisted in confusion before her eyes widened, the light bulb lit.

"Luna? That's what this is about?" She began to laugh, "You're the creep who's been sending her letters?" Her laugh morphed into a cackle and Kazuko's expression hardened; how dare she mock.

"Drop her." He repeated and she halted her mockery, her face eerily tranquil, as she leant closer to him. Their noses hovered to touch and Kazuko was gob-smacked, what was she doing?

"What makes you think she'd ever love you?"

Blood. Everywhere

Point of view: Luna

The next morning came sooner than Luna thought as she has been up all night catching up with all of her projects that are due this week. She rubbed her eyes and took a sip out of her 3rd coffee that she made. She has finished the projects but couldn't even go to sleep as she sighed before getting up and walking over to her wardrobe. She got changed into fresh clean clothes before tying her hair up into her usual hairstyle. She then packed her projects into her tote bag that she had put into a black folder with stickers on it as she put her bag on her shoulder as she grabbed her phone and headphones, putting them around her neck before leaving her room. She made it downstairs as she put her tote bag on the counter along with her phone, she went up to the door, unlocking it and looked at the massive pile of letters as she sighed, she was going to go back inside with her other mail but spotted a letter that stood out more than the rest of the letters, she grabbed it and rushed back inside her cottage. Once safely inside, She sat down on a chair in her dining room as she flipped through the letters before coming across another odd letter addressed to her, her name written so fancy with a heart at the end. Luna stared at the envelope in fear, so far the letters she has received were like love poems as she didnt know what to expect from this one...She opened the letter and unfolded it and gasped at what a state the letter was in as she stared in disgust. Luna had a lump in her throat as she swallowed hard before whispering softly, "is that...blood?What the...hell?"
