So first you want to know what setting is your favourite and which one you will like to play with friends. Like would you prefer to start at round 5 with Hellhounds or the first round with Hellhounds disabled.

So to find out this have a play around in single player and change the game mode around a bit or maybe even try it out with a friend to see what they like.

The most common strategy is starting off on round 5 or 10 with Hellhounds disabled. Some experienced players may start off on the first round with Hellhounds enabled and magic disabled.

Magic disabled means that all perks and drops are disabled. This includes the mystery box and the pack-a-punch machine. This makes it very hard to survive without good weapons, Juggernaught or pack-a-punch. So the only thing you can do is live off the weapons off the walls and make small trains but the good thing is at no stage should you be stuck without a source of ammo.

Try playing online as well with a friend, get him to make a custom game and tell him to invite you to it. Then try using his setting for zombies and then see what the results are like did you like it or did you do good with it.

So first try to figure out which zombies setting you like the most.
