a week has passed by, and it's now time for me to meet up with victoria, my manager for the zone i worked in, which was in crime. i sighed in annoyance as i attempted to find something suitable for the occasion.

after a while of searching my dresser drawers, i managed to pull out a tight short black dress along with a red cropped hoodie, which fit my standards well enough. i quickly stripped from my clothes from the previous day, which i still had been in due to falling asleep too early.

i quickly threw on my clothes and my heels to make it seemingly more 'proper'. i left the apartment with my phone, keys, and wallet all in my purse, which i carried. as soon as i could, i got into my car and began to drive off to the  restaurant, which wasn't far from the downtown rosenews building in the more popular part of roseville.

roseville did gain a lot of popularity a while back. im originally from florida, not a very positive state, but it worked out. anyways, there was once a news broadcast about a roseville citizen attempting to assassinate the american government.

they ended up failing and going into death row. if im completely honest, that's the most recognition roseville's ever gotten.

i turned on the radio to fill the loud noise the silence made. "popular serial killer who goes by the persona 'ghostface' strikes again!" the news reporter on the radio spoke in an enthusiastic tone.

that wasn't good.

"20 year old spencer woods was found in an alleyway with his organs on the outside, and with his head completely bashed in," i began to picture what that visual would be, and it isn't very pretty.

how could he strike again?! it's only been around 3-4ish days, doesn't this man take a break?? the thoughts of the situation ended as i reached the restaurant.

i quickly pulled my car into a parking spot and got out of the vehicle. locking the car doors, i went into the building itself and attempted to find where victoria was seated.

a shorter asian girl with her hair in a messy bun approached me with open arms and exclaimed "y/n?" with a smile plastered upon her face. "oh my god, victoria?" i smiled back at her.

"it's so amazing to finally meet you in person!! come, let's go sit!" she beamed with joy as she grabbed my hand and brought me to the table. the table cloth had been red plaid with a white background.

"so, ive reviewed your resume and our ministry has decided to hire you! youve got the job!!" victoria was a very bright person, and that's definitely a pro.

"thanks!! also out of pure curiosity, you mentioned id have a partner, correct?" i paused to question, and she nodded her head. "well, if i may ask, who is my partner?" i couldn't help but wonder.

"your partner is a man who goes by 'jed olsen,' very bright yet very serious when it comes to work. he's very polite though and overall a very good person," she stated happily.

the way victoria spoke about the job, the more of a healthy work environment it sounded. "now that basically covers it, any questions?" she asked me to clarify. "no, no, don't worry, i understand!" i loved this woman i swear to god, she was such a sweetheart.

"perfect! ill be seeing you monday, any time is fine. farewell!" we said our goodbyes and went our separate ways. 'jed olsen,' huh? the way she described him sounded excellent, so maybe ill get to know him better other than being my usual antisocial freak self.

i quickly got back in my car in hopes to get home to have enough time to finish watching the first season of full house. damn, i loved that family, so happy. honestly nobody in this world deserves that family. they're perfect compared to mine.
