It was a nice day outside, although the air was a bit chilly but nice overall. A black-haired girl entered one of the houses on the right, more specifically the house that had more flowers than the others. The sign on the front door said "Ashlynn Sawyer and Lily Sawyer". 'Hey mom, I'm home!' The girl yelled as the door behind her swung closed and she took her shoes off. She walked into the kitchen smiling and was greeted by her mom 'Hello Lily! How was your day?' Ashlynn smiled warmly at her daughter, she was cooking some stew. 'Oh nothing much, Mrs. Holly gave us a surprise pop quiz, which was totally unfair,  but I have a good feeling that I'll pass. Mmm! Is that stew? It smells so good.' Lily sniffed and sat on the counter. 'Yes, it is stew. I would appreciate it if you cleaned your room, Katie is coming over.' Ashlynn said sharply, cutting some carrots up. Lily groaned 'Fine~' She ran out and climbed up the stairs and went to her bedroom. It was very messy and she had planned to clean it so it's a bit like a win-win. Lily dropped her book bag beside her dresser and cleaned up her room.

The cleaning seemed like a thousand years long but Lily finished it up. She sighed and sat down on her bed, she hugged her stuffed bunny which was previously her late aunt's. 'LILY! COULD YOU COME DOWNSTAIRS PLEASE?' Yelled her mom's voice from downstairs, Lily rolled her eyes 'Coming!' Lily got up and walked down the stairs, she entered the kitchen to find her mom and a bunch of ingredients everywhere. 'Uh mom, Are you good?' Lily chuckled, but the look on her mom's face told her that wasn't the right thing to say 'Um... You needed me?' She smiled nervously. 'Yes! Could you grab the soy sauce and the flour?' Ashlynn huffed, her hair very messy and her apron had a bunch of stains. Lily walked over to the cabinets and took out the soy sauce and flour 'Here mom. When is Katie going to come?' Lily placed the items on the island, 'At 8:30 PM... Why do you ask?' Ashlynn said, not even glancing at her. 'No reason mom, I'll be up in my room chatting with my friends on Discord!' Lily quickly said and walked out.

3 hours had passed since Lily went up to her room. She had gotten a message from her mom saying to dress up; at this, she had picked a blue cropped T-shirt and some black pants. She went back to browsing right away after she had dressed and combed her black hair back but it still looked a bit messy. After a while, her mom (now with a lilac dress and combed hair) came into her room 'Lily, come on Katie is here.' Ashlynn said. Lily stood up from her desk and ran her hand through her hair one last time 'K mom...' Lily murmured. Ashlynn frowned at her, she knew Lily didn't like Katie that much but Katie was a close friend of hers. They both walked down the stairs (Lily stumbling a bit) and Lily greeted Katie coldly but Katie just smiled. The three of them walked over to the couch and the adults started talking about... everything! Lily knew all this well so she had an Airpod in her left ear which was covered by her hair and she turned on some podcasts and songs she likes so she could just zone off.

It had been a long time since they last realized Lily was there, Lily had too for a bit but she jumped as she heard Katie address her 'Olivia dear, how are your studies going?' Katie smiled warmly-- or maybe she thought it was warm, Lily glared at Katie and responded in a high-pitched voice that usually meant she was annoyed 'Oh. It's alright..' She glanced at her mom's stony face, 'I m-mean my studies are going well!' Lily tried to make her voice sound as indifferent as possible but Katie calling her Olivia pissed her off. Katie smiled and so did Ashlynn,  Lily tried to smile but she thought it might've looked like a grimace.

The rest of the night went okay but not the end. When everyone had finished eating, Ashlynn forgot something and went off but at that moment Katie slipped Lily a letter? She was about to open it when Ashlynn came back. Lily can't remember what happened after all that because she kept thinking about the envelope in her pocket. As soon as Katie left, Lily said she was sleepy and rushed her way to her room, she slipped on her pajamas and bounced onto her bed. She quickly opened the letter and what she read was just... Gross!

Dear Lily Olivia Sawyer,

Remember me? The boy in your grade named Jason? The one you never talk to? Yeah well, letting you know now that Katie is my mom and now I know everything about you. If you don't want the whole school to know all your secrets and weird things then you'll have to date me. You have to tell everyone that you love me so much. I will be waiting for you.

Yours,

Jason

Lily knew this wasn't from Jason because Jason was already with somebody so he didn't need Lily at all and also Jason's handwriting is far from this, his is much cleaner and also who writes letters? Lily knows for a fact Jason hates letters because it's so time-consuming and Jason's last name is definitely not Fusco. The fact that someone wait- not someone, Katie, would do something so insane and disgusting as this. She ripped the paper and threw it in the trash, she drew the curtains and locked all the doors. She texted her mom goodnight and to call her for anything and besides the weekend would be starting tomorrow. She sighed and snuggled into bed, holding her bunny close "Why is this happening to me, Ms. Candi?"
