𝐈𝐈 - 𝐄𝐍𝐆

After Rin made sure that his brother was asleep in his room, he slightly opened the door and sighed.

« I can't believe I'm restraining myself in my own house... »

As he tried to get out, he almost stepped on something. With his phone's light, he lit up the room and saw the snacks and the note on the ground.

« Eat something please :) » he read,

Rin picked up the food and let out a small smile. Even if he acted a bit cold towards her, she still cared about him. Despite his behavior, she still made sure he wasn't starving...

After all, she's his only friend.

All the pressure and anxious he felt before vanished for a while.
He ate everything she brought him and went to take a quick shower to cool himself.

It felt great. Once he was done, Rin went in the living room to watch something on the TV. That's when he saw her, sound asleep.

He got closer to the couch and sat beside her. He couldn't help but notice how peaceful she looked.

« I'm sorry for earlier, and thank you for the snacks, I ate them all. » he whispered,

Rin changed his mind and went straight back to his room quietly.

Hours later, everyone was sleeping. It was almost 6AM and the sun was starting to rise and shine.
The first to wake up was Sae. He had an important appointment he couldn't miss.

Before leaving and despite being late, he stopped by the living room, making sure she was still there.

The lack of time made him rush and while checking on her, Sae forgot his lunch in the kitchen and dropped his wallet.

I woke up super late today, my sleep schedule is completely messed up now, but I guess it was worth it. Yesterday was nice.

I looked around everywhere but Sae was nowhere to be found.

« He left early this morning. »

I turned myself to face Rin in a better mood. He had a relaxed face and handed me a cup of tea.

« - Morning, he said in a sleepy voice.
- Oh, good morning Rin. Did you sleep well ?
- Not that bad... »

Rin started acting weird, as if he had something else to say but didn't know how to put it.
He seemed embarrassed and looked away.

« Hey, is everything alright ? Do you feel sick ? »

He shook his head and took a deep breath before speaking.

« No, umm I, I just wanted to say sorry for yesterday and thank you for the food you brought me... »

I let out a small chuckle. He doesn't have to thank me, we're friends. I just care a lot about him.

Rin composed himself and cleared his throat.
He said he had training today but promised that he wouldn't come home too late, so that we could spend time together.
I gave him a small smile before he left for the kitchen.

While sitting on the couch wondering what I was going to do today, I spotted a wallet on the ground. I picked it up and was about to ask Rin about it but my curiosity took over. I opened it and saw on a card, Sae's name.

« Oh, he must have drop it before leaving. »

Sae will need it today, I should return it but I have no idea where he went this morning...
Should I ask Rin ?

As I put the card back, something fell of the wallet. Looking closer, I realized it was a picture. A picture of Rin when he was younger.
He was smiling back then, he looked so happy...
