"I want things to change. I want to be different, I want my life to be different. For things to change, I need to decide that I am not going back"

I was sleeping softly, dreaming about shopping for a cute pink Bible for the Bible study hour I was going to be having this week. Believe or not, I don't have a Bible, I've never had one, and I'd never though of ever getting one. I mean, when I first started Christianity, which was only two months ago, Raj told me that I didn't need one, because the summary of the entire Bible is "John 3:16".

He told me all I needed was to love God and others. I believe him of course, he's such a sweetheart and my gorgeous, rich boyfriend. I love him, so I believe him. Besides, what would a spoiled brat like me know about religion?  Everything was fine  until a short nerdy black girl in my art class judged me for not having one. I can easily recall her southern voice,

"What version of the Bible do you think is best? because girl, I be buying some Bibles out here, that just sound complicated.

"There are different versions of the Bible. How come?" I asked.

"Wait what, you didn't know that? There's so many versions. What version do you have is it the NIV, KING JAMES, ESV? What does it say on the cover of the Bible? That's how you know what version it is."

"Oh, I don't have a Bible, I don't need one"

"You say what? You don't have one?"

"What's the big deal?"

"The big deal? Your a Christian. What kind of Christian doesn't have a Bible?"

"John 3:16 is the Bible. I don't need a whole book or whatever versions you are talking about to understand one verse."

"Are you joking? Is this a joke?"

"No, its not. Could you please move.. you're too close, your in my air bubble." I said while patting my blonde girls.

"Amber right?" she said while slightly moving away from me.. "You are the most delusional Christian girl I've ever met. That blonde hair dye must be leaking into your brain, sister you better find yourself a Bible before Jesus comes, or better yet, before Bible study on Thursday or you'll be a laughing stock"

This is why need one. This is why I am pre-shopping in my head. All of a sudden a loud alarm woke me up. RING, RING, RING . It was so loud and annoying. I sleepily opened my eyes and looked around to see the owner of the phone not even in the room. My blood boiled.
