"Izuku..." Bakugou lowered his fist onto Midoriya's chest, clenching them together until they pressed into his palm creating little indents. "You stupid, stupid fuck. Why'd you do that? Why'd you leave? Why?" his voice trailed off, rapid tears pouring off his face onto Midoriya's hero costume.
Midoriya himself was in shock, like when they fought after All Might's retirement, he'd only ever seen Bakugou cry a little or even feel a bit guilty once or twice but he'd never seen him cry so viciously, especially over him.
Midoriya sat up, careful not to lose this moment, where he'd get to comfort Bakugou without fighting or being exploded. His movements were slow and caring as he wrapped his arms around Bakugou, slightly rocking him to calm him, exactly how Inko had when he was young. Midoriya wasn't used to being this close to Bakugou, it felt so strange, so distant, so...unknown.
A couple of seconds after their embrace, Bakugou wiped his eyes, staring Midoriya dead in the eye, "Never speak of this again. Ever." He said sternly. His reputation came before their new possible friendship.
Bakugou unravelled himself from Midoriya, standing up and lending out his hand; Midoriya was still half lying and half sitting in a pile of trash, he gripped Bakugou's hand, his weight being transferred off his back and to his feet. A sharp force ran through Izuku's body like someone had dragged a long, sharp blade from his head down to his leg, affecting every nerve inside of him. His mind was blank as he doubled over clutching his side, arms still attached to Bakugou's.
Bakugou swiftly moved to support him, his slight anger turned to confusion and concern.
"Oi, careful, don't go injuring yourself again you stupid nerd," Bakugou said, quickly blurting out his obvious concern. "Give me your arm Deku...I'll be...your cane."
Deja Vu
was the first thought that came to Midoriya's mind. he barely even had time to think about it before Bakugou took action for him, manipulating his body to lean on him like a doll.
"Jesus Christ Deku, Dunce face was right about one thing, you reek. Like horribly, disgusting reek." Bakugou said, wrinkling his nose at the same time.
"Thanks?" Midoriya lightly chuckled at the scene of Kaminari saying a similar thing; this caused him more pain but he kept laughing at the thought.
Bakugou carried them out of the alleyway into the open, rubbled street where he quickly typed out a message on his phone, keeping it out of view from Midoriya. However, Bakugou was pretty sure that Midoriya couldn't care less as he melted into Bakugou's shoulder from fatigue.

Midoriya must have passed out at some point because he opened his eyes to multiple bright lights blinding him. A slight ringing in his ears occurred as Midoriya adjusted to his surroundings as well as multiple beeping sounds.
The more Midoriya lay still, the more antsy he got to move. He lay there for a couple more seconds before making up his mind and abruptly shot up into a sitting position, only to be met with red, piercing eyes staring directly at him.
"Kacchan?" Midoriya questioned. It had been evident that he had moved and he remembered Bakugou coming to find him but why was he still here and why was he just staring at him?
A quiet sound came from Bakugou's mouth, one so quiet, only Midoriya heard it, "Hey Nerd." His face was so sombre, it almost looked like he was a completely different person but Midoriya knew that it was just Bakugou being serious. He'd seen the same face before during important battles, before he'd flown away from Class 1A or when he was alone.
The two sat in comfortable silence for a little bit, Bakugou almost waiting for something to click in Midoriya's mind. And then it did. Midoriya took a glance around the room, ripping his gaze off Bakugou, finally addressing the beeping noises, which were medical instruments working hard to keep him stable. Midoriya looked down to see him in a hospital gown, freshly cleaned and most wounds covered in bandages. A couple of broken fingers that he knew would heal quickly and his hair being pulled back by yet another bandage. He looked a sight but it wasn't his worst injury.
As Midoriya realized the truths he'd been ignoring for so long, Bakugou just watched silently, praying that he wouldn't bolt at the feeling of being trapped, getting help, in a hospital.
It must have shown on his face because Bakugou's shoulder softened once Midoriya had leant back into the hospital cot. The idea of being standstill while being tracked by the most powerful villains in possibly the whole world must have not entirely sunk into both of their minds just yet.
The boys sat in a comfortable, understanding silence for what could have been hours (read: 10 minutes) before a familiar dark shadow loomed in the doorway, bringing both their attention to it as a head of black, shaggy hair appeared through the doorway. Quiet shuffling could be heard from beyond the door but the figure quickly moved into the room before shooing whoever was out there and shutting the door with a soft tap.
"Sorry to interu-" Aizawa began as he turned around to see a fully conscious, sitting up Midoriya with a slightly dazed look on his face.
"Hi, sir..." Midoriya said with a small smile as he lifted his hand, wrapped in bandages. While Aizawa stood slightly dumbfounded at the entrance of the room, Bakugou moved around to grab a chair from the corner and offer it up for their teacher.
"Well, this is unexpected," Aizawa started as he crossed the room to take his seat in front of Midoriya. "I would have thought that you'd be unconscious for at least a couple more hours, given your injuries and everything else."
Midoriya huffed quietly before responding, "It's great to see you too Sensei."
"I hope you know just how much trouble you've caused for all of us Problem child." Aizawa said exasperatedly, "You may have only received minor injuries but your body has suffered from sleep deprivation and major starvation caused by the multiple days of vigilante shit you did."
Bakugou, who sat across from Aizawa on the opposite side of Midoriya's cot, choked at hearing his teacher swear so calmly in front of two of his students.
Ignoring Bakugou's reaction to his comment, the sleepy teacher continued on, "Your classmates have been extremely worried about you,"
He had been too but he would never admit to it out loud.
"In fact, if you feel ready for it, I brought some of them with me today. Just to check up on you and see how your progress with the treatment would be going but now, I guess they can say a couple of words to you as well."
If Aizawa noticed the sparkle in his eyes when he mentioned Midoriya's friends, he didn't pay any mind to it.
