"Oh no! How can I be so careless? I’m late again. I can’t afford to be late. It’s all this alarm clock’s fault. I don’t even know how it turns off automatically like that!"
She cursed under her breath as panic took over.
"It's you who always did that." her mind mocked her.
"Come on, Siya! If you want this job, you have to reach the office on time, no matter what."
She ran towards the washroom to get ready for work. After locking her apartment, she took a cab to the office.

"Thank you so much, God! You saved my job again. I don't know what would have happened if I had been there a little later!" She mumbled.
It's been two months since Siya came to Mumbai and settled here. By the grace of God, everything has gone well so far. Earlier she was scared about how everything would turn out.
But everything went very smoothly. She even found a nice and comfortable apartment. The people at this office are also very kind.
She thought settling down in a big city would bring many problems, but everything is going well here. It feels like someone is helping her, maybe God!
Whatever it is, everything is really good.
"Good morning, Siya! You came exactly on time."
She heard Saumya's voice. She was her colleague and a friend. Saumya is sweet and has helped her a lot.
"Yep, my luck!"
"Yes, I agree with that. You are very lucky. You got a job at ASR Enterprises without any experience, and on top of that, you're still safe, baby!"
Saumya teased her.
"Shut up!" Siya scolded her playfully.
"Okay, sorry! You should go now. Otherwise, you know what will happen. Let's meet at lunch. Bye!" Saumya said before leaving.
"Okay, bye!"
This happens every day.
People here congratulate her every day for staying here without any problems. They always say that she is very lucky, and that's why she's still working at ASR Enterprises.
Saumya knows how much this irritates her, so she often teases her like this.
She looked at her watch; it was 9:45 now. She panicked and quickly got into the employee elevator, pressing the button for the 25th floor.
This building is so big, maybe 40-50 floors, and there are probably more under renovation. It's a luxurious building.
Sometimes she wonders how much money the boss has. He has a lot of money, there's no doubt about that.
She heard a ding sound as the lift reached her floor. She got out and headed toward her cabin, opened the door, and went inside.
She was just gathering some files when her cabin door opened, and an employee hurried in, looking panicked.
"Siya, are all the files ready for today's meeting?" He asked.
"Yes! Everything is ready, don't worry. Why are you so worried?"
She looked at him in concern.
"Arey! You know this meeting is very important. If anything goes wrong today, Mr. Rathore will fire the whole team."
Siya frowned.
"Mr. Rathore isn't that angry of a person." She mumbled.
He looked at her and replied, "You can say that because he never gets angry with you. Once, an employee in the food department made a small mistake, and guess what? Mr. Rathore fired the entire department in a single day out of anger. Now you can understand why I'm so scared."
