Alessia

It's Monday! Yey! Note the sarcasm. I would rather stay home. I was exhausted from school. Too much social interaction and with me being an introvert. It brings out my claustrophobia. This causes mom to worry about how I'm going to adapt in life. Well for me I don't really care. Who needs to socialize. I unwillingly got out of bed with a loud groan. Ugh I hate school. I went to the bathroom to take a shower and get dressed. I wore a pair of leggings and a sweater. I put on my earphones playing music as I packed my bags for school.

After getting ready for school I walked downstairs. I dragged my feet, something mom hated. As I walk down I noticed that my mother was on the floor in pain.

I quickly took off my headphones.  I rush to her side checking her pulse. "Mom are you okay" of course not .

You dumb shit she's in labour

"Okay nom I'm calling 911." I frantically typed the number.  "911 what's your emergency?" The lady on the phone said. I never thought I'd be in this situation.

"My mom is in labour can you please send an ambulance " I said. "okay what's your name?" She said. This is why I hate socializing. She can't be serious. Really is this the time for introduction? "Alessia. Alessia Da Vera " I said.

"Okay Alessia help is on it's way" he said. "Is your father there?" Father? Why the fuck would you ask that? Why is it that they ask for your father? Like bro if I had a dad do you think I would've call you?

"No they divorced" I mumbled softly. "I see can you describe her condition?" She said. I don't she look dead! I don't have time to be writing a descriptive essay. "She's bleeding? Are pregnant women supposed to bleed?" I asked. I really don't know if they should be.

"No Alessia. Where is she bleeding?" She asked. "Her..." Shit this ain't the time to freeze. Come on why is my mind blank? This is the first time I've frozen.

Thankfully the door opened. They took my mother to the ambulance. People watching us I got inside the ambulance.

I held mom's hand. She can't leave me. If she does I'll be all alone. My clothes were socked in blood. My hands covered in blood.

Today I get to meet my little brother. Am I ready? No

I pity your little brother. I mean who would want a sister like you look Brianna left you because you were such a bad sister.

She didn't leave she's with Nanna.

The voices in my head said. I try not to listen but it gets harder by the day.

We finally reached the hospital. They rushed her inside. I quickly followed. "I'm sorry but you can't go in" a nurse said with a sad smile.

"But that's my mother. I can't lose her she's the only one I have left " I said softly. "I'm sorry but that's the protocol " she said.

"Why don't you want me to see my mother giving birth?" I said softly. "It's not that I don't want you to... You know what since your Rose's kid I'll let you sit where the head of department sit during surgery okay?"

I nodded my head and followed her to the stairs. "okay sit there don't move or press a button. They can't see you okay?" I nodded and sat down

I watched as they performed the surgery. Are kids supposed to be purple?. "Lack of oxygen hurry" I heard the doctor say.

After watching the surgery I saw them stitching her up so I went down to the waiting area.

"Family of Rose Day Vera?" The doctor said. I ran and raised my hand. "Oh sweetie" she said softly. She crotched down.

No need to insult my height. "Sweetie your mom's condition isn't looking good she might not make it" she said. "Ohh'" was all I could say.

I was to shocked to say anything. "Can I meet her and my little brother?" I said. "Well since you're Rose's daughter we can make an exception. Your little brother is in the NICU his lungs aren't functioning well" she said.

Its illegal to leave someone. "You can meet them tomorrow but first go get changed your cover in blood" she said. I nodded slowly.

I walked to the bathroom at the hospital and took a warm shower. I wore swag pants and a tank top I got for gym.

I got out and stuffed my blooded clothes in my bag pack.

I walked out. Everyone gave me a sad look. I looked down and began walking. It was dark . I knew that it was late.

I just didn't care anymore. I just wanted my mom and little brother to be okay. I honestly can't deal with another person leaving me.
