Chapter Twenty

After a week of being at home with Roman, Stephanie allowed us to come back for me to give my relinquish speech and for Roman to remind everyone that he runs the show around here.

Once Roman had parked the car at the arena here in South Carolina, he helped me out the car and grabbed both our bags before wheeling them inside with me beside him.

"Alex!" Trin screamed as her and Sasha ran down the hallway excitedly towards me making me smile.

"Hey, girls". I chuckled as they both engulfed me in a hug.

"You have no idea how boring it is without you around". Sasha pouted.

"Our wrestling just isn't wrestling the same without you here". Trin added and I gave her a look of confusion based on her choice of words.

"Okay, where's Paige?" I chuckled causing the two girls to share a look.

"What has she done now?" I sighed.

"She kinda ran into Rhea yesterday and well-- she suplexed her into a table and now she's being lectured in Vince's office". Sasha answered making me stiffle a laugh.

"I'm pretty sure that's the smartest thing Paige has done that I one hundred percent agree with". Roman commented earning an elbow in the gut by me.

"Anyway, she should be out in a few minutes. What time is your segment?" Trin asked as we carried on walking towards Roman's designated locker room.

"Seven. And I'm totally freaking out". I sighed.

"Don't worry, babygirl. When you come back that title is as good as yours". Sasha smiled reassuringly.

"Thanks, Sash". I smiled back just as we stopped outside the locker room and Roman opened the door for us.

"There she is!" Jimmy yelled happily as he got up and lifted me off the ground in a bear hug causing me to chuckle.

"I missed you too, Jimmy". I chuckled as he placed me back on my feet when Jey and Solo came over next to hug me.

"How's the shoulder?" Solo asked and I shrugged.

"Eh, I'll live". I smiled making him chuckle.

"That's my brave little soldier". Jey joked as he ruffled my hair causing me to slap his hand away with a chuckle.

Suddenly the door swung open and Sami walked in.

"Oh, Roman-- Alex, you're here". He stuttered once he realized we were in the room.

"Hi, Sami". I smiled as Roman nodded his head towards him.

"Welcome back, you guys. I'm glad to see you". He smiled awkwardly and I gave Roman a look before clearing my throat.

"Uh, I'm gonna go find Paige. I'll see you guys later". I smiled as I looked at the boys before giving my husband a kiss on the lips.

Roman landed a playful slap on my ass as I walked passed him making me grunt as I opened the door.

"You will pay for that". I narrowed my eyes at him making him laugh as Trin, Sasha and I left the locker room.

Walking down the hallway, the three of us checked in every corner for the raven haired Brit, but we couldn't find her anywhere.

"Where the hell is this woman?" I groaned.

"Maybe she's in catering". Trin suggested with a shrug.

"She better be, else I'm giving up this hopeless search". Sasha groaned.

"Come on Waldo". I joked pulling her towards the catering.

"The fuck you just call me?" She questioned offendedly just as we entered.
