It was a night like any other, Dark and Gloomy, Misty and mysterious but something about this night would change everything. No, no, not just my life, everyone's lives.

It all started when me and my sister were playing in the forest, I think we were in our treehouse when it happened. The ground began shaking and the sky turned a very dark crimson. We thought it was an earthquake or something but that wouldn't explain the crimson sky.

I heard mother screaming from inside the house, followed by father yelling. Bricks on the house began collapsing and we couldn't do anything but watch. The house that me and my sister had lived in for so many years collapsed just like that. The ground was still shaking, Heavier than before now. We rushed down the treehouse to see if our parents were okay but in the process Elizabeth, my sister, fell from the treehouse.

She was injured. I carried her over to the rubble of our crippled home. Our parents were nowhere to be seen. Elizabeth was only 11 at the time, I was 13. I couldn't bring myself to tell my sister that they hadn't made it out of the house.

The ground stopped shaking. We stared at the rubble. We had nothing left. A dark cloud began forming from over the horizon. It looked like thunder at first glance. I carried Elizabeth into the forest so we could take shelter from the upcoming weather.

We within a dead tree stump that was unusually hollow until the storm passed. I must have fallen asleep because when I woke up the sun was shining again. Elizabeth was still sound asleep next to me. I looked outside and found some berries that could fulfil our hunger for the time being. Elizabeth woke up and we sat on the same tree stump that we had slept in the night before until the storm passed.

Though that things had gone back to normal in a sense; I had a chilly feeling down the back of my spine that something was about to get worse, worse than before. The only thing left I had was my sister, I vowed not to loose her like I did my parents and childhood home.
