Today is the sixth day of June. A day that most people would find to be similar to any other normal day in their lives, but for me it's a rather special day because it's the day of my birthday.

My nineteenth birthday to be exact.

To be honest with you I never had that many friends in my life. That's mostly because of my cold, inaccessible demeanor and the fact that I'm kinda antisocial when it comes to opening up to others so it's my fault, I guess.

Bullies on the other hand though?

Neither, but I guess that was mostly due to the martial arts lessons I had.

Also, I think that I might have forgotten to introduce myself. My name is Michael Caligo and this is my hero story, but more on that later.

Helen : "Happy birthday dear Michael, happy birthday to you~".

That's my mother, Helen Kalopoulou. She's the person who I value the most in my life since she stayed by my side in all good and bad things that happened to me.

My mom's job is that she works as a surgeon at the hospital of Trikala, the town we live in, but today she took the day off to spend my birthday with me.

My father, Ivan Caligo on the other hand was currently aboard at Romania,on a business trip on behalf of the company he's working at.

His job is that he's an External Relations Manager for a company due to knowing how to speak fluently in six languages, two of them being Romanian and Greek and to his excellent degrees in the external relations management sector. That's mainly the reason as to why he's away from us and the rest of the family most of the time.

A pretty neat set of skills to be fair.

I think that I might have heard my father mention the company's name once before, LeventisTechExpo wasn't it?

The good thing is that the company at least pays him a good amount of money for his work. That's something I can respect.

For better or for worse, little did we both know that things were about to take a... for lack of a better term sharp turn for the worst.

For me mostly.

Me : "Mom, do you mind if I go to the bathroom for a bit?", I asked my mom politely albeit through gritted teeth due to the fact that my head is currently feeling as if millions of needles are being inserted within each individual brain cell.

Helen : "What happened?", she asked me politely, although I could see a look of concern and worry in her eyes and voice

Yeah.... here's the moment where I've forgotten to mention that I'm an only child and that my mom is very overprotective over me.

Just peachy.

Me : "Y-You don't have to mom, I'll be fine", I said to her with a pained smile. I always wanted to be strong for her, to show her that she doesn't have to worry about me so much.

It's not like I'm trying to keep myself distant from her on purpose. It's just I don't wish to bring upon her more stress than she already has with her work and with having to raise me.

Money thankfully never was and never is going to be a major problem in my life. That's mainly thanks to my father's and mom's efforts.

Now I think that's enough of me rambling about myself or about my mother's and father's backstories since I'm currently at the bathroom.
