Chapter 5 : Day of Reckoning Part 1 (Part 5 - Season 1)

Guardian Angel : "And what if they come for you seeking revenge?", the AI inquired once again.

Sanguis Rex : "I don't mind their intentions, I just want to make sure that misguided people, no matter where they're from or what side they're with had received medical help and are okay.", he stated. He was a hero, not a monster right.

After some time of walking through the rooftops, Sanguis Rex had arrived at the closed basketball court of OAKA. He didn't approach the place, seeing the armored vehicles that were guarding each opening to the basketball court's interior, except for one...

Sanguis Rex : 'The top of the building. The place where they'd least expect it that someone would jump into this place from.', he thought to himself and was about to make his move until he'd heard the sound of sirens belonging to police cars coming.

He looked below him, towards the road, using the night as his veil in order to hide himself from the passing police vehicles.

After these vehicles had stopped, a middle aged man had came out of the vehicle. He was tall, fair skinned with dark brown hair. He was wearing a brown trench coat, black pants and dark brown Oxford shoes.

Yeah... there was no way he would mistake him for anyone else.

That man was Mr. Hatzigeorgiou, the Chief Director of the Trikala Police Force, someone known for his witty comments, serious personality, his bravery to be in the line of fire for his people instead of monitoring everything from the safety of his office and finally, his overall stubborness and dedication to his work.

A dedication known to have made him lose countless hours of sleep, until he had made sure that the mission was fulfilled.

For Michael though, things were getting from bad to worst and how would someone know that?

It's simple...

Mr. Hatzigeorgiou except for being the Chief Director of the Trikala Police Force, he also was the husband of Irene Kalopoulou, which if you put two and two together with the fact that the last name of Michael's mother is Kalopoulou as well...

That makes Mr. Hatzigeorgiou Michael's - and therefore Sanguis Rex's by extension - uncle which further complicated things since if Mr. Hatzigeorgiou had found about it he'd tell his mother...

If his mother also found out about it, she'd tell his father...

And yes...

You wouldn't like to know about the earful that awaits him once he returns back home.

That's what would happen before the awakening of his vampiric traits so if he plays his cards correctly, he has a good chance to sneak by unnoticed as a passer by.

Sanguis Rex : 'Now that uncle is here things are getting harder so I'll need to either play my cards correctly or I'll be forced to early hero retirement', he thought to himself, jumping down into the empty alleyway between the building he was on and the one behind him, landing as silently as ever as if the fall distance was that of a millimeter.
