𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐈: 𝖧𝗂𝗌 𝖺𝗐𝖺𝗄𝖾𝗇𝗂𝗇𝗀 II

"How fascinating...what made you act this way, Yohan?" Chaser exclaimed. Yohan took a deep breath followed by a sigh. He got closer to Chaser and whispered "I want to have a talk with you, privately".

Chaser's eyes went wide open, "Privately, huh? Are you scared about everyone knowing the truth, Yohan?" That's what Chaser responded followed by a giggle. Yohan didn't show any reactions, he's just standing there..waiting for a proper reply. His face remained calm and composed, despite the growing curiosity within him.

He knew that Chaser, possessed a knack for teasing and playful banter. But this time, Yohan sensed something different in Chaser's voice-a hint of seriousness beneath the laughter.

"I'm not scared, Chaser" Yohan replied, his voice steady. "But what I have to share with you is important, and I believe it's best discussed away from prying ears" He added.

Chaser's mischievous grin slowly faded, replaced by a look of genuine intrigue. "Alright, Yohan" he said. "Lead the way. Go find a secluded spot where we can talk undisturbed, away from these fools... Hahaha".

"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A FOOL?!" Kitsuke yelled with frustration. Chaser glared at him which automatically made Kitsuke fold over.
"N..nevermind! Aha!ha!". Chaser got closer to Kitsuke, "What a scaredy cat you are~ How miserable".

"That's enough, come with me" Yohan objected. Chaser immediately responded with a simple yes and glared at Kitsuke one more time.

"X-xioa..I don't like him!" Kitsuke shouted in fear.

Yohan and Chaser wandered deeper into the forest, straying from the well-trodden path and into a hidden grove. A hint of sunlight streamed through the thick canopy overhead, casting dappled shadows on the ground below. They settled themselves on a moss-covered log, surrounded by the tranquil sounds of nature.

Yohan took a moment to gather his thoughts, his eyes fixed on a nearby stream gently trickling over smooth stones. "Chaser, I think I understand what you told me the other day", his voice barely above a whisper.

Chaser nodded, his head turned to his direction. "The moment I stabbed you? You're naive, Yohan". Yohan smiled, "That part is not necessary, you healed me anyway. Besides, I understand how you feel towards me, and towards Xioa too". Chaser slowly smiled, he went for a pat on Yohan's back.

"Remember the most important part, Yohan, what lies within between us". Chaser retaliated. Yohan nodded, "There are some things that I'm still curious about, like the fact that I can somehow..."

"Read people's minds?" Chaser questioned, his voice turned into a serious tone.

Yohan's eyes widened with surprise, his thoughts laid bare before him. He hadn't even voiced his concerns about his newfound ability, yet Chaser seemed to know exactly what he was thinking.

"Yes, that's exactly it," Yohan responded, his voice filled with both curiosity and apprehension. "It's as if I can hear people's thoughts, their innermost desires, fears, and secrets. But it's overwhelming at times, Chaser. Even if it's a little unclear for me".

Chaser's expression softened, and he placed a reassuring hand on Yohan's shoulder. "From the moment I saw you, I already knew what you're capable of".

Yohan looked at Chaser, his eyes reflecting a mix of surprise and curiosity. "You knew? How could you have known about this before I even discovered it myself?"

Chaser chuckled, his eyes filled with mischief. "Yohan, I can also read minds, far more from what you can even do. I can also sense and recognize extraordinary abilities in others. It's as if I have a sixth sense for detecting the extraordinary. How unfortunate of me to be granted with such power, I don't even want to live here anymore".
