| Seiko's POV

Since I was smart and went ahead and got all of my harder classes out of the way at my previous school; my classes for senior year were basically free periods. I stacked my schedule with electives for the first half of the day since I only had to stay until twelve o'clock. My classes consisted of Mythology, P.E, Art, then... HISTORY? EWWWW.

I flipped the paper back and forth as if it would change the ink that's written. "Um, sir. I don't think I should be given history."

I was currently sat in Mr. Venturo's office; the school's principal; in front of his desk. He was quite large and I heard his shifter was a lion. His grey hair was neatly gelled back and his hazel eyes were intense as they stared back at me, causing me to squirm in my seat. "Have you taken history?" His voice was deep and playful as his lips were lifted into a smile.

"Uh, yea. I have." I sat the schedule on his desk before interlocking my fingers in front of me while I continued to stare at him. Even while sitting down, he looked to be huge in his human form.

As the atmosphere grew tense, he leans forward and pushed his index finger into an intercom, paging someone, "Mr. Lumio, what I'm trying to understand is how does one get a gender identity mixed up?"

Mr. Lumio's voice trembled on the other end as if he was terrified to answer. "I-I don't know sir. I swear that's what his...eerrr her parents sent."

"I need every single shifter here counted for and I need the paper sent to my office by the end of the day. Don't screw up," the way he spoke was if he was threatening his secretary. "Your job as a secretary requires that you maintain professionalism and have excellent organizational skills. Right now, you're lacking both."

"I-I'm sorry sir. It won't happen agai-," as Mr. Lumio stuttered, Mr. Venturo released the intercom button, cutting off the communication. "Miss Li, your schedule won't have history. How does ST sound?"

"What is ST?"

"Shifter testing," he elaborated. "Since you are an alpha creature-as stated here on your transcript-you have an option to participate in this class only for your kind."

"My?"

"Our kind," he narrowed his eyes before glancing down at my schedule. "I did not think I had to include myself."

"You're right," I chuckled lightly to hide my embarrassment because I was still unable to transform into my wolf. I don't know why I couldn't since I am an alpha creature. That's my title so why won't my body allow me to? "I'll do the class but I still struggle with transforming."

"They help with that," he sent me a dashing smile but his eyes lacked the enthusiasm. "Alright, Miss Li. I hope you enjoy the rest of the school year here. This year will certainly be eventful."

"Uhh, thanks." I nod my head as I exited his office. For some reason, his presence sent chills down my spine. Not because he was sinfully attractive but it just felt like he was aware of everything happening in the room. It felt like he was looking right through me.
