ELODIE KNEW THE WORLD WASNT MADE FOR A WOMAN TO RULE. She had found that out from a very young age. Because the rules and the limits were created by men, even though they didn't know what they were doing half of the time. The countless meaningless wars, the bickering between countries caused by fragile egos and jealousy. The world would be a infinitely better place if it were run by women. Maybe that is why they were looked down upon, sheltered to their homes and a life of being a mid-wife.

She wished to get out of this endless cycle of dreading your future. A future where a woman was only born to bare a child, make a man happy and care for their home day in and day out. The fire within her raged every single day, especially when a man would tell her what she was better off doing.

Her father being one of them. For somebody she believed was supposed to nurture and guide her through life after her mom passed, he truly made her feel like she has no true purpose on this earth. Maybe that because there was no savior. No one was going to swoop in and give her the life she deserved. She had to go out and get it herself.

"You haven't really touched anything." Her fathers voice cuts through her thoughts. Elodie sighs as she just continues to scrape her spoon around her bowl mindlessly, her gaze quite blank and distant.

"Not that hungry for plain bread and oatmeal." She mumbles back, her tone showing resentment and annoyance for the man. Richard rubs his forehead as he stares at his daughter.

"Well, you've gotta eat."

Elodie rolls her eyes as she drops her spoon into her bowl, the scraping sound echoing between them as her gaze moves the man in front of her. "Why are you here, dad?" Elodie asks him, knowing there was an alterior motive. He wouldn't fly across the world to check up on her, that she knew for sure. He barely checked in on her when they were in the same apartment.

"I'm just checking on things, you know it's my job." Richard points out as he rests his arms on the table. Elodie gives him an accusatory look, crossing her arms as she bites the inside of her cheek.
