What should have been a happy ending

I see skies of blue and clouds of white. I look up at the bright orange ball which blazes its rays down upon me as it lays on a blanket of blue with cotton stuck upon it. My legs brush against tall grass and as I look to my left and right I see fields of green brushed with a touch of golden sunlight.

I hear birds tweet as they fly overhead and the smell of flowers reach my nose with a pleasant scent. The cold breeze brushes past my neck teasing me as I wear my cloak tighter. I race across the field to the river as I feel the cold wind embrace me. I place my feet in the water and feel the water wash over me.

I feel total bliss when I look at my surroundings. As my fingers brush the cold object in my coat I feel memories flash by. It's been a really long time since I left my assassin job , killing so many people for people wasn't my style anymore. The sound of loud footsteps makes me let go of my coat and a smile coats my face as a slender shadow approaches.

"Kathy wait up for me"

My boy friend Robin sits beside me and flashes a cheeky grin at me. Robin pokes me in the shoulder and points to a nearby tree where we could see two birds nesting on a nest . It was an adorable sight as we can see more birds perched upon the branches above the pair. I feel a blush slowly creep upon my cheeks as Robin stares at me intently and boops my nose. I hear a giggle as I feel a flutter upon my cheek. Robin reaches out to my cheek as a butterfly lands on his finger from my cheek and as his fingers graze my cheek I feel shivers go through me.

"Lets go out shall we Robin" , I say as I bundle my skirt up in a stance to dash.

I feel loved as Robin grabs my hand and runs through the fields. Life is perfect for the pair of us. As teenagers waiting to go to college we plan to spend the most of our free time in the country side. The country side is a marvelous place filled with warm winds , hummings of birds , chirps of birds , and meadows filled with flowers for miles. This is the type of scenery anyone would love to live in.
