*Ana*

I walked into the pizza shop with Danielle and Jem. We laughed about nonsense as we walked up to the marble counter. Danielle and Jem ordered and my eyes wander around the large light blue room. My eyes met the piercing emerald gaze of a teenage boy in a leather jacket. He bit his lip and smirked before opening his mouth to speak.

"Hello." He smiled and a dimple appeared on one of his pale cheeks. This guy is gorgeous!

"Hey." I smiled back.

"I'm Harry, and you are?" He asked

"Ana. My name's Ana." I replied, grinning.

He responded instantly. "That's a beautiful name for a beautiful girl." He said.

I smiled sincerely. Who is this guy? He's gorgeous, and sweet? I studied his facial features. His strong, chiseled jaw, the curve of his berry-tinted lips, and my eyes traveled back up to his.

I felt the warmth of someones body next to mine, and I realize it's Jem. She leaned into my ear, covering her mouth with her pale hand and whispered.

"Don't, Ana. That guy is trouble."

I froze for a moment.

"N-nice meeting you. But, I really must g-go." I stuttered.

Danielle wrapped her arm around my tiny shoulders and we walked quickly toward the exit. I stole one last glance at Harry before the glass door shut behind us.

------

"Jem, what do you mean he's 'trouble' I asked my best friend.

She looked up at me with her pale blue eyes. "You mean you really don't know about him?" She asked me.

"I have no clue! So please, enlighten me." I said.

"Harry's the bad boy of the school. He's been with just about every girl and he almost always has a new one every week. He gets into fights and never does his work. He's picks on small kids and teachers. I can't believe you don't know this!"

"I've never even seen him before today." I said.

"Well, keep your distance from him, I don't want you getting hurt."

"I will, I don't hang out with guys like-"

"AAAAH!"

I jump up off of the creme velvet sofa along with Jem. Our feet thump against the hardwood floor boards as we run to the kitchen.

"Oh my God!" I screamed. Danielle is leaning over the counter, blood gushing out of her hand. "What happened!"

"I was drinking a glass of apple juice and the glass broke right in my hand!" She yelled.

I grabbed her by the wrist and brought her to the kitchen sink. I cleaned her hand while Jem got a roll of bandages from the medicine cabinet. I dried off Danielle's hand and Jem started to wrap it up. My heart stopped racing as she secured the bandage.

"Are you okay, Dani?" I asked her.

"I'm fine. Thanks, girls." She smiles.

-----

"Remember what I said about Harry." Jem pointed her finger at me and poked me in the rib.

"I know, I know. I promise I will." I said. We hugged and I closed the door behind her.

When I said "I promise", I really meant it. I need to steer clear of guys like Harry. I remember what happened between me and my "ex-boyfriend" Brandon. I try to forget it all the time but it's so difficult. He broke my heart. I will never be able to fill that empty space ever again.

Have you ever liked someone so much and you honestly believed they felt the same way, but in the end they didn't? That's what happened. I was so stupid. How could I possibly think he wasn't going to hurt me and break my heart. I should've listened. But I've learned my lesson. I'll always be cautious now. I've been hurt before, and I don't want to be hurt again.
