ELODIE WAS SLEEPING ON HER BED IN THE APARTMENT, having been up all night working on her research. If her dad would allow her to talk to people about it, maybe she would actually get somewhere. But she didn't see that ever happening. And it wasnt like they were in a progressive time that she could go out seeking time with scientists.
"Ellie." She hears the name her sister called her and feels something hitting her chest. Elodie groans and shifts her body, moving her head deeper into the pillow. "Ellie." The shaking gets worse and Elodie lifts her head in annoyance.
"Stop." Elodie mutters, just wanting to sleep in peace but it didnt seem like her little sister was going to allow that.
"Wake up." Serena tells her, sitting on her back.
"Leave me alone." Elodie pleads as she pushes the girl off of her and onto the bed before rolling onto her back.
"Can we play dress up?" Serena asks her with a bright smile on her face. Elodie sighs, rubbing her face with her hands.
"Not right now."
"But its past noon." She points out, frowning. Elodie didn't care if it was three pm, she was tired and wanted to sleep.
"Serena, go away." Elodie tells her, once again turning onto her side and hugging the pillow beneath her.
"Papa said you are looking after me while he goes to his work thing." Serena explains to her and Elodie internally rolls her eyes.
"Of course he did." She mutters before looking back at her sister. "Just go play in the next room and I'll be there shortly." Elodie assures her but her sister didn't look too convinced.
"You wont fall back asleep?" She asks, crossing her arms against her chest.
"Mm." Elodie only hums, resting her head on the pillow as she closes her eyes.
