Fred watched as his brother-in-law cried over his sister's body. This was wrong. It wasn't his sister's time. He turned away from the scene and headed to the throne room. He was going to have a word with Merlin and get him to reconsider. Ginny did what she did out of love and grief and shouldn't be punished for that. He knew she broke the rule but rules were meant to be broken.

He entered the room and walked up to the steps. Merlin was sitting on the throne with his long white beard, blue robes and hat. He kind  of looked like Dumbledore.

"Please give my sister back her soul, she did what she did out of love." He said.

"She knew the consequences of her actions, she-"

"Damn the consequence!!" Fred said outraged. "Haven't you ever lost someone you loved? Shouldn't you show her a little mercy."

"I showed her mercy by not taking Gabrielle." He said.

"That was showing Gabrielle mercy not Ginny, she doesn't deserve to be in the pit." Fred said.

"She must pay for breaking the rules of nature." Merlin said. Damn this bloody fool, his sister shouldn't be in the pit of darkness. An idea popped into his mind.

"If someone must pay let it be me." He said.

"What?"

"Let me take my sister's place." He said. "Give her back her life and I will gladly take her place for her entire sentence."

"You would do that?" He questioned.

"For my family I would do anything."

"So be it"

Ginny never knew darkness like this before. She couldn't even see her own hands. She knew there was a floor since she felt the rough ground on her skin. She knew she wasn't naked since she felt cloth wrapped around her breasts and another one wrapped around her waist to hide her private parts. She wasn't sure if there was walls since she couldn't feel any around her.

She did know that she missed Blaise and the twins. She didn't regret what she did and she would do it all over again if it meant Blaise gets to live. She curled into a ball and hoped the one day she would see him again. All of a sudden a bright light appeared above. It was so bright that Ginny had to shield her eyes from it. She felt herself being lifted up off the floor. She looked to see who was lifting her but no one was there. She floated up and up till she was set down on a familiar white marble floor. She sat up and looked around till her eyes landed on Fred.

"Fred?" Ginny said confused on why he was here. Fred helped her to her feet.

"Hey Gin" he said.

"I'm sorry Fred, I just couldn't live without him."

"I understand, I would have done the same." He said.

"Why am I here?" She asked. "Shouldn't I be back where I was?"  She then noticed that he wasn't wearing the white suit. He was wearing a cloth around his was and that was it.

"Fred...what did you do?" She asked.

"I got you a second chance so don't blow this chance." He said

"Fred..." she said. If she could cry she would. "You don't have to do this, you won't be able to see me or our family again."

"Merlin finally took pity on me and made my sentence only fifty years so we will see each other." He said. "You need to go now"

"Thank you Fred" she said before she hugged him.

"You're welcome, now go kiss those babies for me." He said. Ginny said goodbye before turning and going through the same door she went through last time.
