Challenge

Saturday evening, you decide you want to go for a walk, something you rarely do anymore ever since you got your car, you saw no meaning to, but tonight was a nice evening and it was calling you into it's darkening abyss.

You pull your jacket on and put your headphones in, before you rush off you decide to put a small knife into your pocket, it's legal and it's better to be safe not sorry but no one ever really picked a fight with you anyways.

You open the door and think for a second of where you want to go, the bars close by, maybe I'll go for a drink... you look quickly at your watch and see it reads, 8:00 pm hmm maybe I'll grab some dinner while I'm there, I haven't eaten yet anyways, content with your decision you begin your trek towards the bar.

After about 15 minutes of walking you finally reach the bar. It's a small place, usually packed with college students but it's in between semesters so only a few people are inside. you walk through the double doors and head straight for the bar, your black boot heels tap against the dark wood floor as you reach your seat and sit down "hey there hun, what'll you be having tonight?" the usual bartender comes up to you and smiles. She's a nice women with black hair curling into a bun, she's probably in her mid 30's wearing a black T-shirt and a black apron, she's the kind of women who is there for you and helps anyone out, but will kick your ass if you aren't smart enough, "I think I'll change it up tonight Marie, give me a porn star and some sweet potato fries," you reply to her with a simple relaxed smile "haha you always get sweet potato fries, how is that any different tonight?" she laughs "well I guess the drink is different, coming right up hun" you nod and she walks away, coming back shortly after with my drink "hey hun" she notions for you to move closer to her, "there's a group of men over there and the hot one is staring at you" her whisper is quick and quiet, you look confused for a second and then turn your head slightly to see a man with raven black hair smiling at you, you look at Marie with an straight, rather disgruntled face, "I know him, barely, he's my little sisters new science teacher" you take a sip at your drink "oooh (l/s)? she's lucky, I'd let him tutor me any day" she raises her brows twice and giggles "please alert me if he comes over here" you say as you set your glass down and too my shock Marie replies with "too late" and runs off. you peer to your side as the tall man seats himself next to you "well, well look who we have here" he smirks at you, "you don't seem like the kind of women to be in a place like this" his eyes travel around the bar and look back to you "apparently I keep surprising you" you reply starkly to him, he chuckles "you're amusing", I wish he'd go away your voice sounds like poison in your own head, but you can't help it, even though you wanted him near, wanted his touch, you still wanted him to leave you be. You sigh lightly and take another sip of your drink "I've been coming to this bar for a while now, I prefer the silence," you say as you watch Marie come out of the corner with your fries, as she sets them down she gives you the "ooh go for it gurl" look and you reply with a simple "stfu" look. You take a fry into your mouth and look over to Law who seems to be admiring you "can I help you with anything, or have you had too much to drink?" you sip at your drink again "I'm actually trying to figure you out," he replies with what you weren't expecting, "oh?" you swivel your chair over to face him, "you're interesting, you're a women who doesn't take no for an answer, someone who'd rather take a bullet then humiliate themselves and someone who has seen enough to grant her experience" his sarcastic grin is a more serious face now as he eyes you, "hmm" you chuckle, "you don't know the half of it" you allow your grin to become more sinister, as he looks at you, all the more serious. You sit in silence for a little while, he seems to be caught in thought, you decide to break the silence "so, Mr.Law?" he looks up at you from his train of thought "hmm?" he hums in question "please just Law's alright" he looks at you and puts a beer bottle to his lips, "how long have you been teaching science?" you try to spark a logical conversation, "not long, I've only started this month" he replies looking rather interested in what you've asked, "so you have a degree in teaching?" your thoughts are slightly blurred due to the toxic drink but your mouth words everything perfectly, "no, the school needed someone to teach so I accepted the job, a school isn't my place but I need the money" he answers again, pulling your basket of fries towards him and taking the little that's left, "where is your place?" you already know the answer to this one but you want to hear his own reply, to confirm if it's truly him. He grins and swivels his chair to face back at you "you seem like a smart women, I'm sure you can figure it out" his eyes look at you almost seductively. You wave over to alert Marie you would like the bill, "well, Law, I would say I know who you are already, more then you know but I'll keep my mouth shut," Marie comes to you with the bill, Laws eyes are glaring now, "pardon?" he growls, you find it almost exhilarating that you've irritated him, "how about this," you pay your bill and begin putting your coat on, before you zip it up you hand him a piece of paper, "here's my number, give me a text or a call and we'll talk about this somewhere..." you look at the drunk group of men in the corner, "more private" you feel superior to him now, you've confused him and enticed him, his eye's look at you calling for more answers, you only give him a seductive smile and walk out the door once again feeling daggers in your back.
