Happy to see that our Finnish bowl cut boy is enjoying himself on vacation. To be honest, he deserves some time off!
Once again, not how the pre parties went, but you guys know by now.
Also, I just had to add scenes with the iconic Käärijä and Bojan videos from Amsterdam. I'm not actually quite sure what Käärijä wanted Bojan to say, but I tried.
—-------------------------------------------------------
Jere didn't get to say goodbye to (Y/N), before his flight back to Finland the next day. He had to leave the hotel early, because of his morning flight. Jere could have texted her, on one of their many social medias, but he was still too scared. The fact that he and Bojan carried her almost all the way to the hotel last night, was still so strange to him. As if he had had a dream, and that none of it was real. But it was very real, and all of the videos and pictures online proved it. His feed was full of pictures and videos from the night before. Everything from the different acts on stage, to Jere, Bojan and (Y/N) dancing in the lounge on the floor above the crowd, and Jere and Bojan carrying (Y/N) down the hallways to the sound of Alessandra's tipsy version of "king of the kings". He found comments underneath all of these videos, saying stuff like: "Get yourself at least one guy like Käärijä or Bojan" or "these Eurovision taxis should be in use more places". But it was the video of Jere jumping in surprise at the red carpet, that made his cheeks heat up. To see himself jump and turn to a laughing (Y/N), made him suppress a smile. He was thankful that their conversation couldn't be heard, even though none of what they said was bad, embarrassing or harmful. It was just nice with a little privacy. Only something the two of them would know about, no matter how small it was.
When Jere came home, his brother reacted somewhat like he expected. With a small smirk, he mentioned how close Jere seemed to have gotten with (Y/N). Which caused Jere to go into denial once again. Jere's brother never pushed Jere over the edge, but he did like to mention (Y/N) every once in a while, just to see his brother's reaction. The absolut panic on Jere's face when his brother mentioned her out in public, fearing that someone would hear it.
While back in Finland, Jere would play a few gigs here and there in the Helsinki area. Even though the stages wasn't that big, Jere had a blast of a time. Giving the crowd only what Käärijä could give them. But while Jere usually would use his time on stage, as a way to clear his mind, he suddenly realized that he would clear all of his head, except for one thing. (Y/N). She stayed in his head, no matter what song or what move he was doing. He would look out on the crowd, hoping to meet her eyes, knowing full well that she was in her home country, doing the exact same thing that he did. Performing her songs and talking about her spot in the Eurovision Song Contest. But she probably wasn't thinking about him as he was thinking of her... Jere didn't like to think much about that, but the thought kept coming up.
Back home in his own apartment, Jere found himself doing what he did, before he went to Madrid. Looking at videos and pictures of (Y/N). Maybe he should text her. Maybe he should be friendly and talk with her online. Those thoughts kept making their way to Jere, but he kept deciding not to do so. That would be to admit. Therefore Jere found himself in his bed once again, scrolling through his phone, seeing whatever would come up regarding (Y/N). Jere found a video of (Y/N) at a morning show in her home country. To his disappointment there were no subtitles. She sat in her leather jacket, black pants and white top, talking, smiling and laughing along with the interviewers. A picture came up of her, at what Jere presumed to be at her national selection performance. (Y/N) laughed and motioned to her ears while talking. Apparently there had been something with her earpiece during her performance. After the interview, the host sat talking to the camera for a short time, before cutting back to (Y/N), as she started performing an acoustic cover of "Malibu" by Hole, and then an acoustic version of her Eurovision song.
