The same thing I hear every morning... the alarm clock. Telling me like every day "Eva time to get up". I hate it more every time. Finally after seeing that I am not sick and have no reason to stay home I get out of bed. The I trudge over to my mirror and see... Me.
My brown hair and slim body stands in the mirror in front of my reminding me that I have to get ready. Finally I throw my hair into a braid and manage to put on jeans and a gray t-shirt. I grab my phone and see what's happened while I was sleeping. To see that nothing has happened and continue on to my morning. I walk down stairs and see my mom looking for her keys.
"Bye sweetheart!! She you after school! Do you have gymnastics tonight?" She yells toward me while she hunts for her keys.
"Yes, but I can drive myself". I said hunting though the fridge for food.
"Ok. Bye" then she walks our the door.
(Later that night)
I walk in the house and set down my car keys. The lights are still off. It's 8 mom wouldn't go to sleep that early and she wouldn't work that late. The kitchen looks the same as this morning so she hasn't cooked herself dinner. It's just mom and I so the house is silent. I call the neighbors to ask if she is over there and they say no. Her car isn't here. Where in the world can she be. I try to call her and she doesn't pick up. I call her 27 times and she still doesn't pick up.
I start to get worried. Finally after and hour of hunting and crying I give up and call 911. After filling them in on what happen they ask for the details of her car and appearance. After explaining every thing down to the last detail I figure out what happened.
"Your mother was in a car wreak around 6:30". I remember being in traffic on my way to gymnastics. By the time I passed the place of the crash it was mostly cleared. I would never think that wreak to have my mother in in.
"Well, is she okay?" I asked.
"She was extremely injured and is now in the Houston hospital. She was life flighted there after your local hospital was in adequate" the operator replied.
I thanked them and then hung up. Houston was a 2 hour drive from where we lived. Well I better start driving.
