I open my eyes and find myself in an almost empty bed. Today is my first day in LA all by myself. I just recently moved here to pursue acting, which had been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. My parents left last night and flew back to Utah, I almost didn't want them to leave but I knew I had to let them go and become independent and rely only on myself.
I pull myself out of bed, slip on my white nike socks and walk into my kitchen. I open my cabinet and find that I had an empty pantry. I forgot that I haven't gone grocery shopping yet, of course I don't have anything. I reluctantly go put a hoodie on and some bike shorts and slide on my white air forces. I didn't feel like doing my hair so I just put a baseball cap on and left.

I drove to a random place that was known for having good açaí bowls and I was craving one. I go inside and order my food and while I'm waiting for it I see this girl in line with split dyed hair, a bunch of rings on, and platform shoes. I go up to her to compliment her style. "Omg thank you so much!" she responds. "i love your style too it's so cute." "Oh I literally just got up and threw this on its nothing." i respond. "But it's still cute! Are you new to LA i haven't seen you around before?" "Yeah I literally just moved here. I don't really know that many people though." "Well now you know me! I'm xepher by the way." she smiles. "Thats such a cool name omg!! i'm Nova." I smile back. "We'll do you have any plans for today?" Xepher asks. "No not really. I was thinking of checking out some touristy spots or even going to a bar or something." "No offense but that sounds so boring" She giggles. "My friends are having a house party tonight, you're welcome to come if you'd like." She suggests. "That's sounds way better than what I had planned. I'll think about it." I say.
She turns back at starts ordering as my order is called. As i sit down at a nearby table I start planning what I'm gonna wear to this house party.
