Patrick landed face-first on Brimstone. The kid got up and groaned and got up. He widen his eyes. He knew it was his monthly dimension visit. But really? He had to land face-first on the ground? He thought landing on top of a guy was bad enough but this?
He got up and rubbed the dust out of his pants. And he looked around.
And not only that. It was a bad time as well! He was just going to play Minecraft with his younger brother Marshall. But no! Of course he had to visit an alternate dimension right now despite all of the brotherly bonding he would lose because his powers decided such a cruel time for him to go.
"Ahhh!" Patrick blurted out. "This place looks like utter garbage!"
The place around him looked like flames. The fire was everywhere! Buildings look abandoned. The ground was brimstone. The screams of people boomed out.
Patrick widens his eyes. What? Is this hell? He thought. No... this can't be hell! I didn't die! You have to go to hell by dying! Therefore, I'm not in hell!
The kid smiled and walked around. There was a path of brimstone ahead. The trail led to some city that was filled with Imps and weird-looking demonic birds who had no eyes. Dead bodies littered the trail. Most were burned to a crisp black form. Some were gory messes and only about 5 out of the said gory messes kept their eyes.
"Well, it looks like I found civilization!" Patrick said as he pointed towards the city being utterly destroyed by demons. "Looks like I have a place to stay until I reappear in my home dimension!"
Patrick walked with his backpack in hand. He had to walk over several corpses and swat away giant mosquitos the size of kittens. The path was cramped with these things. It made Patrick wonder what the actual hell happened here. Did the government bomb the place? Did the giant mosquitos overthrow humanity? Did a kaiju just prance over the city and it led to society collapsing like a graham cracker in water? Who knows? For all Patrick knew, it was just some city who has a lot of death due to monsters being a common occurrence
Patrick didn't mind this path though. He saw worse in other dimensions.
After a few minutes of walking, Patrick saw something weird.
"Wait, what?" Patrick asked. He widened his eyes as he saw a large red humanoid creature. Its face was relatively humanoid. But it had long black nails. Weird-looking fangs and the bottom half of its body looked like a goat. Patrick shook his head at this.
Since when is a demon in a Brimstone path filled with giant insects & dead people? He thought—either way. I think I should kill this thing somehow!
The demon narrowed its eyes, it then cackled. "TIME TO PAY MORTAL! I AM GOING TO KILL YOU!"
"Kill me? What the hell?"
The demon facepalmed. "Really Patrick? This is hell! Y'know I gotta torture you right?"
Patrick jumps back a bit. His hands immediately clenched into a fist. He was shaking only a little bit.
"H-hell?" Patrick said while raising an eyebrow. "How is this hell? I'm not dead!"
The demon took an intense breath. A breath so deep that Patrick thought it was suffocating.
"Kid, this is hell! What else would a place filled with demons & tortured souls like this be?" The demon asked with an incredulous look.
Patrick's eyes darted around the area. The screech the bird things made were a little bit louder. Patrick then smiled. "This is Ohio!"
