chapter 3: the aftermath

SMG3 POV:

3: hhh, mmm- wha-why am I on the floor?

I start to open my eyes, feeling like shit. I sit up, looking around making sure I can see properly before doing anything. I look at the ground, seeing SMG4 laying beside me.

3: ugh- not again..

4: wha-huh..?

4 fell back asleep. turning over on his other side, but seconds later, he turned slowly, side eyeing me.

4: why are we on the floor?!

3: I don't know, do you remember last night?

4: uhhh... No actually

3: well shit-

I turn on my phone to check the time, it said "4:56 am" Smg4 tried to get up, but failed both times because of his dizziness. I had better luck (like always) and got up. I held on the the nearest thing to steady myself before helping Smg4. I walk over to him and pull him on his feet. We both start to go upstairs to his room.

4: thanks for helping me, didn't think you wanted to..

3: .. what- oh- yeah, no problem

We get to the room, Smg4 goes in first and face plants on the bed, his lower half was keeping him standing. He crawled in and got himself comfortable. I start to get a portal ready but I hear him mumble, "wait, please stay.. I'm too dizzy to be on my own."

Pity washed over me as he said that, so I walk to the edge of his bed. I look at him and he grabs my arm and pull me onto the bed with him. I'm too dizzy to think still, so I get under the covers and sit there until I started to fall asleep. SMG4 huddled up to me for some reason, and I didn't complain cause I was both hung over and tired. You can imagine the headache I had, so this eased me out..

3: Wha- what the hell are you doing-

4: mm, warm..

3: hehe, cute-

4: huh?-

3: nothing, sleep.

4: okey dokey..

I didnt know what I'd do in a situation like this. I flinched and froze before getting comfortable with him against me. I wrapped my arms around him, hugging him as I fell asleep. I felt warm and safe with him next to me, it was the strangest but most amazing feeling I've felt in a while. I undo my overalls, take off my shoes and my hat and threw them on the ground. We slept in his bed for the rest of the night.

Next morning I woke up to giggling from someone, who sounded like they just came in the room. I opened my eyes and almost gave them my left hook before I could stop and recognize them. I rubbed my eyes and saw both meggy and Mario looking at me and smg4, I then did give them a punch and turned over to look away from them.

Meggy: HEY, WHAT WAS THAT FOR 3?!?

3: YOU SCARED ME!!! I WAS HALF ASLEEP YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME!!!

4 wakes up from all the screaming, he turns around and sits up to look at meggy and Mario. Meggy and Mario were both surprised because they didn't realize that he was even there.

4: hey.. can you be quiet..?

Meggy: 😨

Mario: 😲📸

4: OH COME ON! WHY ARE ALL OF YOU IN HERE!?

3: THAT'S WHAT I SAID!!

Meggy: I came in because you told me that you would make breakfast. Mario just came along

4: right, alright, hold on.

Four got up, rubbed his eyes, dragged three out of bed and started downstairs to the kitchen. He was exhausted from the party still and he was really hungover but he managed himself well. Me on the other hand was falling asleep standing up, I was trying to stay awake but failing miserably.

Meggy shook me awake, I flinched while Mario started laughing. I look at him with the most angry face I could make, he stopped immediately and sprinted downstairs.

Meggy calmed me down and walked me downstairs so I didn't fall. I sit down at the table and put my head down. I fell asleep until four woke me up to breakfast. He made some kickass eggs and waffles, and he made fresh orange juice to wake me up.

3: damn, this is surprisingly good food, when did you learn to cook?

4: thank you, I've been practicing because I have to eat aswell- I just wanted to improve myself, and meggy helped me also.

Meggy: I was his motivational guide. 😊

3: of course- well it woke me up a lot! After this I'm gonna take a shower, do you still have my clothes?

4: yeah, I saw Peach put them in the wash. Actually, Meggy, could you get them and switch them to the dryer?

Meggy: on it!

Meggy walks upstairs with a pep in her step, and smg4 checks back to me as I'm talking to Mario about video ideas. I stop and glance at 4 seeing as he zoned out looking at me. I get flushed and hit his arm to snap him out of it.

3: hey, stop looking at me

4: huh, oh, sorry

3: your fine, just don't do it again

4: my bad-

Mario: Hey! You two should kiss 🤭

3 and 4: SHUT UP MARIO

We both hit him at the same time. Meggy came back down and sat next to Mario (not a ship) waiting for her food. I start to look around the kitchen, seeing as though I've barely knew there was one. There's a lot of blue and purple.. odd. I see from the corner of my eye.. my plush?! You don't know how confused I was when I saw this.

The dryer timer goes off, I hear it and immediately walked to get them. I check and they aren't that dry, but I would love to leave, eggdog is probably worried sick right now. I cant, there wet still. I put them back in and go back downstairs. I go over to the couch and lean on the back, I can't sit down because there's people and puke everywhere. Disgusting. I go back to the kitchen, put my head down, and sit to zone out.

Smg4 noticed and came over, he patted my back to tell me he was there. I sat up and flinched when I saw him sitting across from me.

3: uhh, hello?

4: you okay? You seem down

3: I'm fine..

4: well, my meme guardian senses say otherwise, what's up?

3: nothing, you senses are acting up, like usual.

4: alright, but I'm gonna stay just in case you do wanna talk.

3: alright.

I start to stare back off into space, waiting for the dryer to go off again. Seconds later I hear it, but smg4 got up before me to go get it. Surprised, but I follow him because I need to leave, i miss eggdog. Smg4 turns around and flinches a bit, I guess he didn't hear me follow him.

He grabs the clothes and hands them to me, I put the over my shoulder and start to make my portal to home. I look back at him and he gives me a hug.. whats wrong with him- why is he hugging me, I can't move! I hugged back because I haven't had a hug that I felt good about. He looks into my eyes and pecks my cheek

4: bye 3

3: uh- bye.. 4

I walk through the portal red as a tomato and go back to starbucks.
I think he likes me.
