Rescued by a Captain. Captain Shadow X Reader.

Shipwrecked

"Emergency!" 

You were awoken to a crew member on the cruise you were sailing on banging on your cabin door.

"What's happened?" You yelled, leaping out of bed.

"We've hit a rock; the weather was too stormy to see it." Responded to the crew member.

Remaining calm, you left the room and put on a life jacket that was left outside your door and headed for the lifeboats. But as you step on the deck you were hit by a sudden wave and swept away from the ship. Luckily you managed to grab a piece of the ship that had broken off. Holding on to the wood you drifted into the sea eventually, you were shivering and would soon die from hyperthermia. Closing your eyes you accepted your fate and were tired to continue fighting the battle of survival. 

"Grab hold of this Lass." You heard a voice a say 

At first, you ignored the force, thinking you were hallucinating.

"Can you hear me?" Said the voice again. 

Opening your eyes you saw a lifebuoy in front of you. Taking a chance you grabbed hold and were suddenly reeled onto a ship. Laying on a wooden deck you look up and see a black hedgehog wearing a red pirate hat and jacket with an eye patch over his eye. 

"Why were you drifting in the seas?" Asked the hedgehog.

"My cruise was shipwrecked." You respond, shivering. 

"Come with me, I will fix you up." He commented, getting you to follow him. 

Trying to stand, you realized your body was too cold to move on its own. 

"I can't move." You said, shivering.

Suddenly you were lifted and carried by the pirate into a cabin. He laid you on a table and removed your wet clothes. Panicking, you thought he had bad intentions. 

"No! Please don't I'm a virgin." You screamed.

"What a filthy mind you have Lass. I'm just going to fix you up with a new outfit." He reassured, holding out a pair of grey track pants and a blue long-sleeved shirt. 

"I'm so thankful that you're not some creep." You said, sighing a sigh of relief.

"My crew are respectful of women, we only engage in those activities as long as it's consensual." He responded, helping you get dressed. 

After dressing you, he sat you on a chair and wrapped you in a blanket and gave you a mug of cocoa.

"I'm so thankful for you saving me." You acknowledge taking a sip of cocoa. 

"You are most welcome, so can I have your name, Lass?" He asked, sitting on a chair beside you. 

"I'm Y/N, what's yours?" You respond, getting a feeling that he is a captain.

"I'm Captain Shadow, me and my crew sail the high seas on my ship the S S Maria," he replies.

"I guess your pirates." You guessed, sipping slowly on the cocoa.

"Yes, we are, just because I'm being kind to you doesn't mean I'm not as hard as nails."   He tells you gritting his teeth. 

"I don't know how I could ever thank you for saving me." You tell him, feeling uncomfortable being on a boat with pirates that you know nothing about. 

"How about you join my crew and pay off my kind deed by doing ship work for me?" He offered. 

You had never been interested in being a pirate, but this was one way to show him how grateful you were for him saving you.

"I accept, what are your conditions?" You asked, knowing pirates normally have lots of rules to follow.

"You just get rest Y/N and I will explain everything to you when the sun rises. " He announced, helping you walk to a hammock. 

You lay on the hammock, feeling so exhausted you gave into sleep. When you woke up, your whole world would be a different one.
