Ningguang was taking a walk around Liyue, when she came across a man
He wore cheap clothing, his face was dirty, and he was holding a bundle of ragged blankets in his arms
He was sitting on the floor, trying to shush his baby as she cried
The poor father seemed to be injured and extremely sick, but he still tried to care for his newborn
He noticed Ningguang as she stood in front of him
"L-lady Ningguang! Is there anything I could *cough* help you with?"
He asked, putting a hand in front of his mouth to not get his daughter sick
Ningguang frowned and shook her head
"Sir, you don't look alright, would you like me to take you to the pharmacy?"
She asked
The man shook his head
"*cough* No, lady Ningguang, *cough* there's no hope left for me, t-they said I had *huff* a few hours left, I *cough* I was hoping....S-someone could take care of my daughter y/n...*cough* S-she's barely a week old! I can't leave her alone, she'll die!"
He said as he struggled to talk
Ningguang looked at him sadly
"Sir, let me take her, It's the least I could do for you, and for her"
She said
The man looked at his daughter with tired eyes
She stared back at him, small tears pouring out of her eyes
He mumbled a small 'sorry' to her and handed her to Ningguang with shaky arms
"Thank you *cough* Lady Ningguang..."
The man said
Ningguang nodded
He then laid down, ready to let death take him
Ningguang could only watch as the life in his eyes faded, and his chest stopped moving
She stared down at the baby in her arms
"Let's get you cleaned up, y/n"

Beidou was just watching the ocean before she heard crying
She looked around before spotting a basket on an island they were heading to
She waited until the ship stopped and jumped out
She walked toward the basket and looked at what was inside
A baby, no older than 3 months
"You poor thing...Who would leave a baby on an island all alone?"
She muttered
She picked the baby up and started rocking it gently
She looked around
There was no one around in the small piece of land
She spotted a piece of paper inside the basket
She crouched down carefully and started reading

Take care of my daughter
I tried to take care of her, but I was sent here as punishment once my parents found out
Her name is y/n, she is 3 months and a half
I can't stay with her because they're coming to get me, we'll both get killed if they find her too
I know this is insane, but I'm a teenager without shelter, I'm desperate
I hope someone makes it in time for her to still be alive
