•---✵---꧁꧂---✵---•We were sitting on the stairs that led up to the building, our heads hanging low and nobody saying a word.
Outside of the apartment building were still police cars, ambulances and what not. The lights flashing and sirens were piercing through my skull and I could tell the others just wanted silence and sleep.
We were all exhausted to the point our eyelids nearly shut.
We made plans to meet up tomorrow when we were all somewhat awake. The odds of finally catching the dickhead, that has been keeping us awake at night, would be higher when all of us could think straight.
Sam wasn't happy with the idea but I could somehow convince her that getting some sleep would be the best for all of us.
Mindy stood up and pulled her twin's arm making him stand up too. "We're going home." Her voice was tired and quiet. Chad only gave us a small nod and they walked off together.
Tara walked towards a police officer and Sam immediately ran after her, not wanting her little sister to be alone.
After a few minutes of sitting in silence a yellow car pulled up. I stood up, clutching my jacket tight under my arms.
"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" Ethan gently held my wrist, stopping me from walking further away. I turned to look at him and his eyes shifted from the Uber driver to me. "Im sure, Ethan."
The curly haired boy hesitated for a few seconds before letting go of my hand.
He knew Ghostface won't attack because that wasn't part of the plan. "Promise?" His dark eyes held a worried look. "I promise."

I payed the Uber driver and got out of the vehicle. I walked to my apartment building and checked my mail. I realized the main door wasn't closed properly so I locked it behind me.
The old stairs made weird noises every time I walked on them. I opened my apartment door and made sure it was closed and locked so no one could get in.
I turned on the lights and got a bottle of water from the kitchen after I placed my stuff on the table. I sat down for a few minutes, letting everything that has happened sink in.
My phone vibrated in my pocket so I took it out. I was expecting it to be Lane, Ethan or Sam to check up on me.
But my phone displayed a weird picture with a familiar name.
Richie kirsch
I choked on the water and I felt sick to my stomach. I bit my lip deciding what I should do.
The water bottle was halfway empty so I poured the rest in my sink and wrapped my hand around the neck of the bottle. I let my phone ring and if something happened I had the glass bottle as a weapon.
I stood still and held my breath. I placed my phone on the counter and stared at it, hoping it would stop ringing. Tears were threatening to escape my eyes but I stood strong, ready to defend myself if I had to. I would not let Ghostface get to me.
