"G-Grandpa..grandpaaaaa?" she asked in a whisper .. "Why are we hiding?"

"Shhhh.... Ryuna my child don't talk. We are under attack." Daiki Replied into her ear. He was panting heavily.

She can't understand a single thing what is happening. It was a perfect day till this evening what happened suddenly? She heard from his grandpa that this is not the first time that ninjas came to attack their clan but she just heard those stories, fortunately she always lived a peacefullife she never had to face this kind of situation. Why they are attacking now?

She never saw her parents, she has no regrets for that she has her grandpa and he is enough for her. Her grandpa never told her about her parents death even if she asked so many times before he just informed that they are dead. But why are they attacking her clan again? Her grandpa is the head of the Kuchika clan then why he is not fighting with the enemies?..Why he is hiding with her? He is a ninja he should fight for his clan. How ever there are only 16 people in her clan. She knew rest of the people died 16 years ago in an attack.

There are so many questions she want to ask her grandpa. But she has chosen to stay silent until he relax a bit. She saw from the corner of her eyes that her grandpa was searching outside from the window for any sign of the enemy. She can feel the air is growing heavy around them. She is feeling so suffocated, she trembled when her grandpa called her suddenly "Ryuna, stay here until I am back. Do not open the door at any cost do you understand? "

Ryuna was looking her grandpa with her big black eyes and then nodded she was too scared to give any verbal response. And that's very natural, in her 16 year of life she never saw an attack, their village was a peaceful one atleast from her birth. Why cant everyone live in peace? Daiki's eye softened after seeing her childish action, he called her "Come to me Ryu. Do not ever fear no one can lay a finger on you atleast till I am alive..understand? Now be a good girl and don't open the door before i return."

She was hiding beside a corner of her room and switched off every light so that she will not catch any unwanted attention of enemies. She can remember when she was 8 year old his grandpa told "Never fear this world Ryunaa-chan the more you fear the more it will scare you.I will not be there always to protect you my child". She cried so hard that day " You will not die gramps. Please dont die". She is scared of death. She doesnt want to die she just want to live with her grandpa peacefully. After all there is noone other than him whom she can refer as a family.

Almost after 30 min she heard a knock on the door. Instantly her whole body got rigid. "It's me Ryunaa, open the door" she exhale the long breath which she didn't realized she was holding . "C-coming grandpa".

With a trembling hand she opened the door. She noticed her grandpa entered the house in hurry and said her to take all essential things "Quickly grab clothes Ryu-chan we need to move now". She was so confused "What happened gramps?" Why he was sweating so much ? Why he is so worried? She thought . He didn't answer he quickly grabbed her wrist and started walking with all the packed essentials on his shoulder.

She got so tensed. She never walked this fast , however she knew her grandpa is walking much slower than his own pace. He is a ninja he knows how to walk much faster than this. She understood they are heading to the forest now because they were moving to the backside of the village. "Where are we going grandpa" she asked her breathing got faster she is getting tired only if her grandpa taught her some shinobi basics, then may be she can also move faster like him without being tired. How ever she never dared to ask this question again to her grandpa. She can clearly remember how for the first time in her life her grandpa shouted on her after asking this same question " Never ever in my life I will want you to be a shinobi Ryu-Chan, never ask this kind of question. I already lost my child once and I can't loose you. Once you understand how cruel this shinobi world is you will thank me for not letting you be a ninja. You are too innocent to handle deaths and the cruelty of this shinobi world my child". She trembled again after remembering that scolding session. She still couldn't understand why he scolded her that much. She just asked a question only he shouldn't scold her.
